Lovely hostel in fantastic location, you can walk up good few munros pretty much from the doorstep! Showers are hot, drying room very efficient and the owners make you feel at home. I will definitely come back one day.

We stayed for just the night but what an amazing stay it was. Winter wonderland outside, cosy fire and warm rooms inside. What more could you want after a great day on such beautiful but bitterly cold hills! The roaring fire was a real welcome. Thank you for lighting it ahead of our arrival -- a really nice gesture. Elsewhere... More

We stayed here in early September while walking the East Highland Way. To our surprise ( and their loss) no one else was staying. The accommodation was good hostel standard and the sitting room looked as if it would be warm and comfortable on a cold night with the open fire going. We had brilliant sunshine so enjoyed sitting out... More

A very under estimated Hostel which offers a variety of accommodation for, the lone traveler, groups, couples and family's on an adventure. Situated within quite a rural location but, if you are without a car, the train services are fairly dependable. We had our car so, getting about wasn't an issue plus, we were heading to Rannoch Moor and, parking... More

My thoughts pretty much echo the other reviews. The Station Lodge was clean, comfortable and cozy. Overall we had a nice stay. The hosts were kind and welcoming, even their cutie-pie kitty who made regular appearances to say hello. We opted to make our own meals, which was quick and easy thanks to the well-stocked kitchen but I have to... More

Arrived to warm welcome after day's slog through Scottish hills. Striking setting in a valley along the railway line, mostly surrounded by woods. Formerly Tulloch station buildings, the hostel is well equipped. Facilities are very good - enough space within rooms, clean environment, couple of drying rooms, sufficient number of bathrooms, and a warm sitting room. Occasional trains passing by... More

After a grim experience at the Strathspey Hostel in Newtonmore, we booked into the Station Lodge and had our faith in hostels restored. The welcome was warm, the rooms clean and comfortable, and the meals (optional) very good and filling after a long day on the hill. Excellent value for money and thoroughly recommended.

This is a great hostel to stay at when you are climbing the hills around the Spean Bridge area. It's comfortable and great value for money with meals often being available at a really great price. The fact that it's on the railway line means you can also use it as a base for day trips to the Corrour area,... More

A cracking little hostel on the train line up between Fort William and Rannoch. The rooms are all fairly big and it can be a little cold in the corridors at times, but when the fire is on the living room it's roasting. The kitchen is big and for those wanting meals it is a bargain.
