We stayed at this Hotel earlier this week. We had an enjoyable evening meal, food was very good, the clotted cream ice-cream a real indulgence. Bev who seemed to work every where was very kind, attentive and very helpful. We loved the beams in the rooms and the pub has lots of character. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

it was getting towards dinner time and an hour from home after an evening excursion in to Bedfordshire saw this on the side of the A6 and the 2 main meals for £9.99 offer and seemed to be a perfect opportunity for dinner. Good choice and if you were veggie or gluten free you would not be disappointed either. could... More

I came and stayed with my boyfriend recently and I genuinely enjoyed the stay. Room was nice and clean. The food was good. Lovely hotel and friendly and welcoming staff. I'll definitely go back again if I'm in the area.

We stayed for three nights using the hotel as a base for visiting Bedford and Cambridgeshire on a touring basis. We received a warm welcome and were given a very comfortable but small double room overlooking the beer garden. The hotel needs some investment as the paint is very dulled with age and the quality and amount of light very... More

I've spent most of my working life in hotels. Most of them are void of all personality and personal touch. Thankfully, I've finally found somewhere that's the opposite. The Queens Head is a tiny village in the middle of the Bedfordshire countryside. If you need a break away from the city lifestyle but don't want to be too far away... More

We stayed here for 2 nights on the 20th & 22nd June with other family members from New Zealand. We found the staff very friendly and helpful they went out of their way to be helpful and nothing was a problem. Meals were lovely we loved the traditional english food that was done well. Best steak & ale pie we... More

We had booked here for the promoted "Sunday Special" lunch. Our first impression was that the dining room was rather dark and badly in need of decorating. Being an old place is no excuse for never decorating. In which decade was it last redecorated? Our estimates ranged from the '50s to the '70s. We were the only party in the... More

This place is quite historic and its very friendly with nice staff. The bar guy has an accent you will never guess - I am good with accents and I couldn't get it. Other than that the beer was excellent and the food was good too plus free Wifi is a bonus and the room had a seriously old oak... More

This is a typical Greene King pub, good prices and good solid standard fare. The building does have some Olde Worlde charm, with marvelous ancient beams and so on, but it also has a lot of dusty corners and a few too many cobwebs! However, it is well placed for Bedford and surrounding amenities, and the little villages to the... More

Really lovely little B&B/Hotel. Very friendly welcome from the gentleman who was the manager (I believe covering the reception). Very clean with lovely fluffy bedding. Nice toiletries. Very close to Bedford Autodrome and fabulous pub for food called The Falcon. Breakfast here was lovely - only giving 4 stars as maybe could have a better choice of juices at breakfast... More
