Not one normally taken to writing disparaging reviews of places or people but sometimes there has to be the exception to the rule. I went to the Queens Head for an evening meal with my partner a step daughter on Saturday evening as we had a 50% off voucher off our food bill which had been given to us by... More

Arrived late at night after a very hard day working at Twinwood. My mum had a nasty fall in the dark car park , and the young lad behind reception seemed to be totally unmoved by her plight he provided a sterile wipe but made no offer to help us to the room with our bags Presumably the landlady or... A lovely old inn with welcoming, friendly staff serving superb, fresh food in generous portions. A really good menu, with seriously tempting specials, and a good selection of drinks. This was the second time we've been, on the way back from a long trip. We'll make sure we head this way again.

This building has history and is a stones throw from Bedford. The staff were very helpful and friendly. It was buzzing with locals therefore it must be serving its community well. Our room was in the old part of the building and was small but clean and fresh with tea & coffee making facilities, flat screen tv and free wi-fi.... More

We stayed at this Hotel earlier this week. We had an enjoyable evening meal, food was very good, the clotted cream ice-cream a real indulgence. Bev who seemed to work every where was very kind, attentive and very helpful. We loved the beams in the rooms and the pub has lots of character. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

it was getting towards dinner time and an hour from home after an evening excursion in to Bedfordshire saw this on the side of the A6 and the 2 main meals for £9.99 offer and seemed to be a perfect opportunity for dinner. Good choice and if you were veggie or gluten free you would not be disappointed either. could... More

I came and stayed with my boyfriend recently and I genuinely enjoyed the stay. Room was nice and clean. The food was good. Lovely hotel and friendly and welcoming staff. I'll definitely go back again if I'm in the area.

We stayed for three nights using the hotel as a base for visiting Bedford and Cambridgeshire on a touring basis. We received a warm welcome and were given a very comfortable but small double room overlooking the beer garden. The hotel needs some investment as the paint is very dulled with age and the quality and amount of light very... More

I've spent most of my working life in hotels. Most of them are void of all personality and personal touch. Thankfully, I've finally found somewhere that's the opposite. The Queens Head is a tiny village in the middle of the Bedfordshire countryside. If you need a break away from the city lifestyle but don't want to be too far away... More
