Ten ladies stayed for one night dinner, bed, breakfast and 2 eighteen holes of golf from Brancepeth Castle Golf Club. Everyone had a marvellous time. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent in both the brassiere and the restaurant . The pro was very helpful, we really enjoyed the course and the weather was... More

We had dinner last weekend at a private birthday party and the whole evening was very enjoyable. The dinner itself was an half hour late but once we got our starters the service was excellent and the staff very friendly and amenable. The hotel itself is very olde world and charming with it.

Wow! This was a gift from my daughter for me and my partner. We were booked in for a Coach House room but upon arrival we were upgraded twice (at no extra charge) to The Lyme Suite! Absolutely lovely with four poster bed, fireplace, a choice of sitting areas, two large period windows! My jaw dropped to be honest as I'm... More

Myself and my partner have stayed at this hotel twice now and really love it. We always stay in the Spa rooms located above the spa with direct access. (Rosmary double with balcony)and more modern and new (don't think I would like the older part of the hotel). The rooms are nowhere as fancy as Rocliffe Hall but what the... More

We stayed here in early April, for 2 nights for my fathers 80th birthday. There were thirteen of us, all adults and we had a Top Class stay. We were maybe fortunate to be blessed with sunny weather on both days, which enabled us to have an outdoor 80th birthday, afternoon champagne tea party for dad and a really competitive croquet... Booked hotel for Easter break with my Husband. To be honest before booking anywhere I always check TripAdvisor first so I would be expecting something nice.... And we were not disappointed. I booked a double room in the old hall because I prefer period features. When we got to our room we had been upgraded to a junior suite.. Absolutely... More

Visited with friends for afternoon tea. Staff very helpful and friendly, bringing drinks out to the terrace as we waited. Four types of lovely sandwiches, scones with jam and cream and three different desserts served in the comfortable lounge. We had extra coffee at no charge. A lovely experience and great value at £17.50. Would highly recommend!

Fabulous value for brunch, spa visit and afternoon tea including facial or manicure. Very helpful staff, pool and outdoor jacuzzi warm and clean; good hot sauna, lovely treatments. Delicious afternoon tea in main house with excellent service. Would have given five stars if brasserie brunch service had been as good but all in all, a most enjoyable day with excellent... More
