Several years ago I visited Headlam to attend business seminars. Whilst these sessions were always frought, I enjoyed to hotel, restaurant and other facilities (except golf). A few weeks ago, I returned with my wife for a short winter break. The friendliness of staff and quality of facilities were unchanged and we were not disappointed. Looking forward to returning.

We took a group of young college catering students to the hotel for afternoon tea in June 2014. The visit also incorporated a presentation of certificates for the students and a small tour of the hotel facilities, an excellent opportunity for catering students to see how a country hotel functioned , facilities at the hotel, the variety of jobs available and... Stayed here having booked to eat at Raby Hunt Restaurant. Made very welcome with accommodating staff, and dropped us off at the restaurant. Room in the main house was very comfortable though the plumbing was a little noisy. First class breakfast in the morning. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Is a fabulous venue for a wedding

Married here on 9th August and had the most amazing experience. Headlam dealt with our every need. From organising rooms for people to organising our table decorations. Whole planning phase was efficient and highly detailed. A huge thanks to Angela for that. On the day, the food was fantastic as was the service by the staff. Utterly professional from start... More

We stayed here overnight as we were guests at a wedding nearby. I suspect the hotel is a conversion from a grand country house, along with its stables and outbuildings, so the lay-out is a bit strange and inconvenient. We had rooms in a cottage annex - and although small, the room and en-suite were clean and in good condition.... More

We booked a spa relax break overnight in the stunning new spa rooms right above the pool area. Totally relaxing with a lovely lunch and coffee on arrival, staff welcoming and good service, especially reception staff in the main hotel. We had 2 treatments each with massages really good with quality products . Highlight of our stay was the jacuzzi... More

We stayed at Headlam for our 1st wedding anniversary and returned for our 20th. Although the hotel has been expanded now to include extra bedrooms and a health spa, this has all been very tastefully carried out to a high standard. We stayed in the Peacock room overlooking the garden and this was spotless and very comfortable. The housekeeping team... More
