Basic rooms with squeaky bathroom floors and furniture and fairly thin walls. Not the most comfortable of beds but functional and for one night after a wedding it was fine and a fair price. No over-looking neighbours into room (number 7). Lovely downstairs bar and restaurant. Car parking right in front and free. Ok breakfast included and friendly staff. Close... More

The Cock Inn is a pub with a few rooms at the side of it. It is set in a nice quiet location with a free car park at the front. Check in is via the bar, rooms are a little basic but clean and containing what you need. Small portable TV, tea and coffee making facilities, desk, chair and... More

We found all the staff to be very friendly & helpful. The 5ft bed was wobbly, but was actually very comfortable, and the two single beds for the children were of a good standard and size. They were made with good quality sheets and we were provided with a bath towel each. The windows open fully, unlike the Premier Inns... More

One night on our way north. The room was nicer than the Travelodge we'd stayed in the night before with seating and a better layout. En suite was clean and there were two towels each which was very welcome. Tea, coffee and biscuits in the room. Breaikfast was in the pub and was typical of B&B breakfasts with pleasant staff.... The accomodation is located near Stanstead Airport and I would recommend it.The room was comfortable. We had dinner and the food and service was good. The breakfast was also excellant. I would stay again.

We were made very welcome by both the staff and the locals in the bar. Our room was a bit dated but it was clean and we had everything we needed. Our evening meal was good value and very tasty. Our breakfast was quick and efficient. Just what you need when you are working to a time schedule. There is... More

Stayed here for two nights as we were attending a wedding close by. We ate in the restaurant Friday night, but were the only people there. Such a shame as the food and service was excellent. There is a lovely ambience there too. Wine served chilled. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. We had a room at the back which... More

We stayed for 2 nights after attending a 'gig' in Harlow. Very spacious room, comfortable bed, fantastic shower, tea and coffee making facilities, TV. All you need in a room! Having never explored this part of the country until this weekend, everyone we met was friendly and this left us with a very positive feeling about the area. We will... More

We stayed here on the 21st May as my Daughter and her Partner were flying into Stanstead Airport the following day and we were meeting them, it's around 15 minutes away. We arrived around six in the evening and were met by John who was friendly and quickly checked us into room 10, he also explained the times of breakfast... More

We stayed overnight with family to break up a journey. Initially I booked this hotel because it was dog friendly however in the end we left our dog with friends so could have stayed elsewhere, however we were fairly pleased with our choice. Trip Advisor reviews gave this a high rating for food and were looking forward to eating here,... More
