Feels and looks good as you drive up to this hotel. The whole feel is one of charm & quality. The rooms are well decorated and looked after as is the whole hotel. There are plenty of different places to sit and relax including a reading room upstairs. The restaurant is very pleasant with well presented food at realistic prices... More

I stayed at the Tortworth Court on business, I had a standard double room in the main building, the room was very comfortable and had everything you need. If I was to be picky, I disliked the shower having a shower curtain rather than a screen or separate cubicle, for the grandness it shouts on arrival you kind of sigh... More

Excellent Service throughout our stay. Food was great (both at Dinner and Breakfast). We stayed on a Groupon Voucher Deal and paid a little extra for a room in the Main House. The Menu choices were plentiful and varied and for me the availability of fish at breakfast was a welcome bonus (as I have difficulty eating meats). All in... More

Stayed here for the location really (close to junction 14 of m4) and far more character than a travel type lodge. Beautiful building with a very high brow, bespoke dinning hall (we couldn't actually eat there at the time we wanted). The atrium and bars areas also very good and more suitable to younger families. Our initial room was unfortunately... More

Absolutely delighted with our recent visit to this hotel with friends, we obtained an excellent deal via Travelzoo for our overnight stay and would not hesitate to return. Most impressive building set in delightful grounds and our rooms were of a very high standard. It is a large and busy hotel with 190 rooms so hard to achieve and maintain... More

We stayed at Tortworth Court as a family, taking advantage of a TravelZoo offer - Dinner, Bed and Breakfast. Due to very inclement wet weather we decided to stay in the hotel and grounds for our whole stay. The whole experience was fantastic. Food was very good, especially given the number of servings they have to process in an evening.... More

It wasn’t until after booking a room for 4 nights at this hotel as part of our European tour, that we decided to read the reports on Trip Advisor (on our own experience these are rarely accurate), we were shocked that it had so many average reviews as it looked idyllic and exclusive. Can't speak for those who are never... More

It was ok. Check in staff I found to be rude and standoffish. I also caught them making fun of another guest at the hotel who I later found out was a family member of mine. We were staying at the hotel for a family members wedding. The venue itself was lovely for a wedding, the orangery was beautifully decorated... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to post this review. I am pleased that you were impressed with the Victorian manor house and the Orangery building set in 30 acres of woodland and formal gardens. The comments made regarding the check-in staff have been passed onto our head receptionist to be investigated. For future reference I would mention... More

Great for a couple weekend away. Dinner and breakfast was really nice with good choice. Half an hour drive to Bristol, slightly more to Bath. Did not try the spa but it looked nice enough. Grounds looked fairly well kept, can imagine it nice in the summer.

Stayed for 2 nights with a group. It's an old manor house, creaky as you might expect, rather dark and a bit tired. The corridor leading to my bedroom had badly cracked plaster coming off the wall. Check in was efficient, service at dinner rather brusque and abrupt. The bed was reasonably comfortable, but on the first night the fire... More
