we were given a red letter gift of a one night stay bed breakfast and dinner at this lovely hotel. The staff were exemplary and we're professional, courteous and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. As we had to stay on a Sunday night ( this was the deal) the Al la carte menu was not available but the... More

I stayed here for one night on business and overall it was an exceent stay (although a waste for business travel). The hotel is essentially an old English house, traditionally decorated with lots of corridors and side sitting rooms with roaring fires and pictures everywhere, the sitting areas felt as though they were your own front room and were extremely... I stayed here with my sister (room 28 highly recommended) last weekend and would not hesitate in returning. The receptionist (Leslie) was very helpful and friendly, showing us up to our room, which is near the spa. The room was very spacious, clean and very comfortable, with gowns and slippers for spa use. We met friends for coffee in the... More

We booked here for the New Year Gala Dinner and a 3 night break.Sadly we found the music far too loud on New Years Eve for the small venue that we had to move out to the lounge. We were very impressed with the quality of the food throughout our stay. And we found all the staff very attentive and extremely... More

We had chosen this hotel to hold a funeral reception and decided to stay the night before rather than risk the M25. It happened to be the staff christmas "do" so we were almost the only guests (I think there were three rooms occupied). This meant no restaurant or spa, but that did not worry us. The room was spacious... More

We attended a work Christmas lunch on 19/12/14 for 20 people, the hotel kindly gave us the Oakly Room - we all had a lovely time. The room was superb, the food was excellent and the staff were very attentive. My colleagues have already discussed returning, and I for one will defiantly return for lunch or even a spa day... We were visiting family nearby and booked ourselves into a delux room for 1 night. We invited family to dine with us in the hotel restaurant on the evening and we were all impressed with the food and service. The hotel itself is such a beautiful building with open fires in most reception rooms giving a warm and welcoming feeling.... More

We chose this hotel because it was recommended to us as being a good venue for the Wake we had to arrange for the funeral of my mother-in-law (who lived in Sittingbourne). We don't know the area and had to take pot luck to arrange the Wake for the funeral which was to be held at Sittingbourne crematorium. We found... More

Booked the brasserie at Hempstead House for Christmas Day lunch at a marginally reduced rate of £75 against the main restaurant due to a late requirement to dine out at Christmas and wish we hadn't. I was assured the brasserie would be made up to `look the part' and was happy to take the assurances on face value, however, when... More

Booked an traditional afternoon tea for my wife's birthday and we were both treated to excellent food and service. Definitely value for money and would recommend to anyone. Sandwiches had a good taste to them, cakes were nice and scones definitely had a homemade taste to them. Experienced our afternoon tea in the lounge which was decorated in Christmas decorations...
