After being closed for a few months, we gave the restaurant a try under the new owners. They have attempted to combine the previous restaurant's setting with a sharper, updated look and menu which, to a certain extent, has worked. We visited on a Saturday evening for dinner and found the place cosy and inviting. The attention was as you... More

Earlier this year we enjoyed an afternoon tea at The Wife of Bath - a present from our son and daughter-in-law (who stayed here last year). We have since learned that The Wife of Bath has closed down. A sad loss, particularly after reading all these wonderful reviews from so many satisfied customers.

We stayed in the Wife of Bath for three nights in April. The annex room was very comfortable with a spacious shared kitchen area. Staff were most helpful. The cooked breakfast and fresh fruit bowl were delicious.

A friend and I stayed here for 3 nights a couple of weeks ago. We had a wonderful time - the two rooms in the annex were perfect, quiet and comfortable. The food was excellent [we had all three dinners there - no need to go anywhere else!] and we thoroughly enjoyed all three meals. The staff were so helpful... More

What a great find with this hotel we had a best stay for a long time in this hotel. This hotel and restaurant is only 5 bedrooms.but the food was excellent gourmet cooking. We do recommend this lovely hotel.

This proved to be a good choice when we wanted to stay in Kent prior to crossing the channel the next day to France. Our meal was delicious and the bedroom comfortable and clean. Certainly the reviews that mention very helpful staff are absolutely right.

We chose the Wife of Bath as a restaurant where we could eat well and stay over to avoid having to drive, so that we could celebrate a birthday. And what a good choice it was. A warm, friendly welcome; a pleasant, impeccably clean room with a comfortable bed (albeit the shower, though new, had a mind of its own,... More

I had never heard of Wye, let alone the Wife of Bath... but what a discovery. We got a mainline train from London... and walked the several hundred yards up the (small) hill to this wonderful oasis of bliss. We were met at the door and shown to our quaint room. Not huge, but comfortable, clean and comfortable. The en-suite... More

We stayed at the Wife of Bath over a weekend to attend a local wedding. We had booked 3 rooms and were delighted to discover we were allocated 3 rooms above the main building ( the other 2 are separate) which not only provided us our accommodation but also a lounge area which was very quiet and perfect for us.... Stayed one night on route to Channel Tunnel. Mark was the perfect host and the room was lovely. Comfortable four poster bed, spacious bathroom. We didn't have dinner and left too early for breakfast but would certainly recommend the accommodation and would stay again
