I am glad to hear that the New Flying Horse has reburbished its rooms, since they were charming but rickety and the plumbing simply horrendous.
Although friendly they were also seriously understaffed at weekends; we had to wait ages for our breakfasts to arrive, which is not much fun if you have a ferry to France to catch. It eventually arrived, incomplete and cold.
Still, we liked the area and the food in the eveing (book ahead, it gets very busy at times) and we are considering trying again to find out what the improvements will be. more
