We stayed here for one night after visiting nearby Ashford retail park. Although not in as rural setting as I expected, it does have a real country feel to it. Although it was freezing outside, the room/bar/restaurant were warm enough. Local beer is served at the bar, & the staff very helpful. Breakfast was cooked to order too, no buffet... More

I recently stayed here with my partner. We booked a 2-night break to do some walking on the North Downs. I was really unimpressed with the accommodation and was rather surprised to find so many positive reviews on trip advisor. I know we got one of the last rooms so maybe our experience is reflective of that; all the same,... More

Although we know the village well, this was our first visit to the pub. Excellent parking facilities and a very friendly welcome. The staff were very pleasant and the place had a nice atmosphere. We opted for a meal from the Bar Menu and were surprised by the presentation and quality of the food at a very reasonable price. The... More

Stayed at The New Flying Horse last night. It is a lovely traditional Olde Worlde country inn, with a lovely wood burner in the main bar. Our room was very comfortable well decorated with a modern twist set in an historic venue , really warm and cosy. The food is really nice, we had main dinner and although there was... More

Stayed here with several Family members. Pub very authentic, food and service very good. Breakfast excellent. Accommodation clean and comfortable, staff pleasant and helpful. We loved the open fire in the lounge and the old leather comfortable sofas. We have booked again in Feb 2015.

We stayed here for one night after returning from Calais, the reception we got as we checked in was very welcoming, The log fire in the bar was lovely and when we got to our room we were pleasantly surprised at how big it was, we were expecting a small room as it was in a pub. The service was... More

A cosy nicely refurbished post inn, great staging point for anybody passing through the channel ports. Shepherd Neame beers in tip top condition, friendly staff, good food and ambiance. The room in the annexe was perhaps a little small, but it was perfectly adequately for a brief overnight stay. We'll be back!

This is a lovely old style pub in a small village. It has a real fire in the bar area which made it very cosy, and it has a nice dining area. We went for tea (aka dinner). The food was nice and the price was very fair. We were given great service by both members of staff on duty.... More
