Just returned from a 2 night stay at this lovely place in the country. It was clean and fresh with a very cosy feel. The restaurant was lovely with 2 different menu styles. One being the pub menu and the other a little more a la carte. Both provided tasty meals and prices were reasonable. If you order the gooseberry... More

Gastro-pubs with rooms can sometimes treat the rooms as something of an after-thought, but that wasn't my experience here. I had a large, comfortable and well-equipped bedroom, with the firm mattress that I welcome. There was a useful desk, with a working chair as well as an armchair, and generous tea and coffee makings. It was far better lit than... More

Charming comfortable, tastefully decorated and modernised rooms (I was in the cottages, not the main pub). I stayed here for a week on my own when on business in the UK, because I wanted a base in the country. I used to live in Wye and can recommend as a great base from which to enjoy this part of Kent... My wife and I stayed at the hotel for two nights and wished that it could have been longer! The rooms were spotless and the food in the restaurant was excellent. Steve, the manager, and his staff could not have been more helpful and friendly.

Stayed here 3 times now. Rooms are good though some are above the pub! - so ask for quiet room if turning in early. Restauraunt is excellent good portions and hot. Best to book at weekends as popular with locals too. Staff pleasant, Outdoor garden is lovely when sunny!

We stayed here for one night after visiting nearby Ashford retail park. Although not in as rural setting as I expected, it does have a real country feel to it. Although it was freezing outside, the room/bar/restaurant were warm enough. Local beer is served at the bar, & the staff very helpful. Breakfast was cooked to order too, no buffet... More

I recently stayed here with my partner. We booked a 2-night break to do some walking on the North Downs. I was really unimpressed with the accommodation and was rather surprised to find so many positive reviews on trip advisor. I know we got one of the last rooms so maybe our experience is reflective of that; all the same,... More

Although we know the village well, this was our first visit to the pub. Excellent parking facilities and a very friendly welcome. The staff were very pleasant and the place had a nice atmosphere. We opted for a meal from the Bar Menu and were surprised by the presentation and quality of the food at a very reasonable price. The... More
