I had a lovely relaxing stay here. The village is quiet and picture postcard. The pub and rooms were well designed and comfortable with some lovely touches like 2 pin plug adapters for visitors from Europe, coffee, tea , biscuits and bottles of water and at last...a TV you don`t need a degree to work. The breakfast was excellent and... More

We recently stayed at the Kings Head in Wye and have regretfully only rated it a 3. When we booked earlier in the year this place was the most interesting and appealing to us in the whole area covering Folkestone up to Maidstone. The first minor disappointment was that the area was not as expected. It's is not an unpleasant... More

We loved our 2 night stay here, clean, friendly, great food, beautiful room, amazing bath. We stayed here for a wedding for 2 days. It was a great base for us and everyone was so helpful and friendly too. The breakfasts were so nice but huge! We would return and would recommend.

Evening meal was fine, choice of beers was disappointing. The family room was back to basics styling that went too far with rough wooden floorboards not good for little feet. Noisy as you can hear the bar noise or the outside area where the smokers sit. In the morning the cockerel and then the cleaner woke me at 5.15. Not... More

Just got back home after 4 wonderful, rainy, days away. Found this completely by chance and what a delight! Nice and central for lots of things. We went to Leeds Castle, Canterbury, Battle and along the south coast Eastbourne to Hastings. If the weather was not so bad we would have done lots more walking. The food is superb. for... More

Ate at the Kings Head in Wye on Saturday, got a reservation on the day, thoroughly enjoyed every course, staff were attentive too. Menu could do with a little more variety, but, the menu that exists has some choice flavours on it. I will always go back

Really lovely stay. We had already booked the Saturday night, then last minute we phoned to see if we could add the Friday night - no problem, but apologised that we would have to change rooms - no problem to us - and worked really well, with the staff telling us to leave our things in the first room &... We stayed for one night on our trip to Devon. The Kings Head is perfect because it is close to Dover, wehre we arrived by ferry. The restaurant serves excellent food, the staff is very friendly and we liked the modern vintage style of the room and the pub. On our next trip to England we will stay there again.

I discovered this pub / hotel after having had a few good recommendations from friends. I went for dinner and have to say the food was fabulous, top quality fayre produced without an unduly long wait. The produce used is mostly all local, fresh and best quality. Presentation was great, and the cheese board should not be missed if you're... More

No lift with very basic room. Wooden fruit boxes for side tables and bare unpolished floorboards doesn't work. No wardrobes or room fridge.Felt a little intimidated regarding what I could ask for for breakfast when on the first day there I asked for a flat white coffee and was told that they could do it but in future it would...
