Very clean, very friendly and helpful staff. Stayed for one night during the Christmas market period. Ideally located for the train station to Lincoln city, only 20 mins away. Highly recommended, great value for money. Great food.

The reception staff were very polite and welcoming, even offering to carry my bags and showing me to my room. They fully explained use of wifi, breakfast times and other welcome information. The room was very modern, well equipped and clean. The restaurant was amazing! A good range of food cooked to a very high standard. I can't suggest any... More

My husband and I recently had an overnight stay at the Advocate Arms. We stayed in Room 6 (at the back of the hotel and no road noise on the Friday night we stayed, we live in the middle of the countryside and were concerned about that) and bedroom was a good size with a proper sized bed (super king... The Advocat Arms serves one of the best breakfasts ever -- homemade sausages, black pudding and bread are very tasty; the service is friendly and efficient, and nothing is too much trouble. We keep going back because it's such a great experience.

Just had an overnight stay at the Advocate and really enjoyed the experience. The room was fantastic, it was huge, modern, clean and very well appointed. The bathroom again was very clean and spacious with a lovely big bath and shower. The only problem in the room was the curtains, they let in far too much light as they were... More

I enjoyed an excellent stay at the Advocate recently. We enjoyed a family get together of fifteen and were given the very best of attention seated in a private dining room. The food was first class, the wine excellent and, crucially, the Guinness was well served. I was happy to pay for the convenience of a late check out. Well... More

Fifteen of us had a great meal, the steaks were just as we ordered. Check out time was 10o'clock, an hour before they finished serving breakfast! and the cost to have a later check out considering what we had all spent was unreasonable.

Excellent service, shame about the food. I ordered a steak, when it arrvied it was chewy and had a lot of gristle in and around the meat. I sent the meat back and ordered something else. Other people in the party ordered steak and were also disappointed with the quality of meat. I was assured that the chef would have... More

Dear Emma, Firstly, my apologies that you did not enjoy your steak. We use British steak from Yorkshire at the moment, and the feedback overall (if you look at our restaurant page on TripAdvisor) is excellent, and we have had loads of compliments over the quality. It is difficult, as you can appreciate, with such a natural product to guarantee... More

We chose the ciabatta with medium rare roast beef in horseradish sauce, for 4.95 each, plus half of lager and a pint of the superb Dooms Bar, surely Cornwall's best bitter. The barman was friendly and helpful when it came to our questions for a larger group booking next month. Menus were e-mailed to us just a few hours later... More
