We booked our weekend through Superbreaks and on arrival at the hotel it looked nice. However once you go through to reception, it starts to become clear that you've booked something like a Travel Lodge. The rooms are small but clean and the views are disappointing. We overlooked the quad biking centre! The evening meal was OK, nothing spectacular. Breakfast... More

We booked a one night stay at Burn Hall Hotel as we were attending a family wedding (the wedding service, afternoon reception and evening reception were all at the hotel). We arrived early and enjoyed a relaxing coffee and bacon sandwich which they let us have on the £5 deal even though it was after 10.00am. We booked through last... More

My Wife and I spent an enjoyable 2 night break at this charming hotel. Food Service and Staff are all very nice and we enjoyed our stay. The grounds around the hotel gave this countryside hotel a nice rural feel. You will need a car and we visited Castle Howard and 2 National Trust properties all close by. Bedroom was... More

My husband and I decided to try Burn Hall for Sunday lunch having seen it advertised in the local paper. What a great decision it turned out to be. For only £9.95 each we were treated to a 2 course meal. We opted to have the starter and carvery main course. Wow, were we delighted. I had the blue cheese,... More

Just had a 2 night stay here. To use the word 'hotel' in its title, I would say misrepresents itself, and to some tune. It is nothing short of a travel lodge. The photograph on the website gives the appearance of a lovely old building, but hidden behind the trees to the left is a lodge which looks dirty and... More

I booked burn hall via last minute dot com as a special deal. was a bit worried after reading the other reviews. However the room was large and spacious, with complimentary wine and chocolate, bathrobes and slippers provided, and situated at the end of the corridor, overlooking the front of the hotel and the gardens. The bath needed updating , with... More

My daughter had her wedding reception at Burn Hall last week. From the minute we arrived to the moment we left, nothing was too much trouble. All members of staff were incredibly helpful, polite and had smiles on their faces. The day ran very smoothly and a special mention must go to Scott and Tom and their team for all... More
