An outstanding property with the luxury of its own spa pool. The owners Trysha and Graham are most welcoming and have thought of every thing to make our stay special including home made bread and soup ready when we arrived,a selection of essentials tea coffee milk etc.even though the cottage is in a group of others it does not feel like... A holiday in Spain fell through at the last minute and we were very well accommodated in Stables cottage. The cottage was beautifully built and equipped with a private garden and lovely bedrooms, kitchen and a sunroom to dine in when it rained. The owners could not have been more helpful, friendly but not overbearing. We had a great time.

We stayed in Garden Cottage with its view of the beautiful lawn and trees and private outdoor seating area. The cottage is old, beautifully maintained, and beautifully comfortable. The general property layout is ingenious. We hardly saw another person. And the area...well, the area is to me the most beautiful part of Northumberland. The Breamish Valley is a haunting landscape.... More

We have just returned from spending the week at Gate Lodge for our 6th Wedding Anniversary. We had booked it many months before and due to the quality of the website we were so excited about staying there - suffice to say we weren't disappointed! Although we only live just over an hour away it was still lovely to arrive... More

It's almost impossible to describe just how welcoming the smell of a freshly baked loaf of bread can be but this was just one way in which our senses were excited as we entered Honeysuckle Cottage. You also have the visual impact of such a beautiful cottage in a very beautiful surrounding. We were there to celebrate our 30th wedding... More

We thought Trysha and Graham couldn't better "The Gate Lodge" which we stayed in last October but have just returned home after staying in their new cottage called "THE RETREAT". Like the Gate Lodge, we arrived to the aroma of fresh baked bread and hot home made soup plus treats of flowers and chocolates etc. The cottage was absolutely gorgeous... More

Stayed in Barley Mill towards end of May, picked through the Premier Cottages brochure by my 3 y.o. (who knows why over any others!) We loved it. From first contact, Trysha (and Graeme) were delightful to deal with, answering queries promptly and efficiently. Waiting for us - packed away - was our Tesco online order and local food from Food... These cottages are just perfect, we stayed in the Gate House and could not find fault with anything, the accommodation is 5 star and some. It was a ideal base to explore the Breamish Valley, river and hills or a great location to discover more of Northumberland. Our hosts were on hand if we needed anything , but not intrusive.... More

Fantastic stress free break. scenery fantastic, people very friendly. Honeysuckle Cottage very comfortable and spacious. These cottages are ideal to use as a base if you want to see Northumbria or just get away from it all.

We have just returned from a magical week staying at the Gate Lodge. We couldn't have asked for more from the sauna to the incredibly well equipped kitchen, roaring fire and amazingly comfy bed. We will definitely be back to explore more of Northumberland! Thankyou Graham and Trysha for an unforgettable holiday.
