Had a one night stay here in February. Arrived late and very tired. Room also very tired! Dated furniture, a bathroom with no working light and lifting, stained lino, dirty walls. Too tired to grumble so went to get into bed. Pulled bedspread off to find BOTTOM BEDSHEET HAD NOT BEEN CHANGED FROM PREVIOUS GUEST. Sheet crumpled, wrinkled, dirty and... more

I must agree with everything negative people have said about this hotel, and may I add its not one fore the disabled.I had room 215 with its sower milk.and ita a long long way from reception. Arrived on a mystary trip with Nationel Travell. This is the only way this hotel will get people in. The meals arrived raw and undercooked.on cold... more

On arriving at hotel, it looked run down, the person on reception not very friendly. We decided we would have a drink at bar, found VERY SMALL bar, just opening at 6pm as 2 bus loads of people arrived. After having our drink we thought to have a LIGHT BITE - WE WAITED 1 HOUR AND TWENTY FIVE MINUTES FOR... more

The poor exterior of the hotel is exactly what you get on the inside so if you have not already paid I suggest you find another option I stayed for one night which was one night to much, The curtains were ripped the window was held together by duck tape, the carpet was shabby I had a trouser press with... more

The hotel was probably 3 star, but considering the price of £42 for the night (after seeking out an internet deal) it was fantastic value for money. We didn't use the leisure facilities so cannot comment on the swimming pool or anything else, but the small bar was adequate (you don't get one of those at a Travelodge) and the... more

we stayed for one night as we were visiting Leeds. the hotel is in bad need of a revamp. the reception area was ok but the chairs were worn. our family room was very spacious and quite modern although our net curtain was ripped and our bed was being held up by a beer crate! the pool is ok but... more

Reception was poor after waiting 10 minutes to check in,receptionist was unhelpful and instead of being greeted with a smile we were greeted with lots of sighs and felt as if we a massive inconvenience. First room... more

I think the reviews given so far give you a slightly false expectation. The outside as already stated is horrible and would benefit from a major face lift. On the inside it is okay but not fantastic. Some of the corridors are old, cold and smell mouldy and there is lots of peeling wallpaper and paint. The swimming pool looks... more

Your first thought on approaching this architectural monstrosity is to do a u-turn and head right back down the A1 as soon as possible. The grotty exterior hides a bit of a gem however, especially when you end up paying £29 (booked via the company's website) for a large spacious family room, complete with a wonderful full buffet breakfast and... more

First impressions of this hotel were mixed - we arrived exactly when a large tour bus did - but reception made sure that we bypassed their line and received their undivided attention. From the outside, this hotel is nothing to look at, but I had read the reviews and had a feeling that the room would be fine, which it... more
