I've worked at the Plough for 5 years (I left on the 25th July 2015). I worked, both for Phil and Theresa and Gemma and Andrew (the new managers as of March 2015). I can honestly say that the standard of both the management and the food has decreased incredibly. Practically all of the food is not homemade, regardless of... More

As many have stated, the team at the hotel certainly went the extra mile in terms of customer service and bending over backwards to make our stay exceptionally comfortable and enjoyable. The food was excellent, lovely setting and every member of the team made a big fuss of our 3 year old son, they even let him help with cleaning... More

We visited last weekend, there were 6 ladies, all family for a night away together with our sister from Australia who we hadn't Seen for some time. My sister from Australia booked on the recommendation of trip advisor and we weren't disappointed. The Plough is lovely and in a beautiful quiet location. We had 3 rooms and all were spotless,... We were here from Canada visiting my parents and we went to the Plough Inn to celebrate my mothers birthday,we had a wonderful experience, the Inn is lovely and the host Gemma could not have done more for us.The rooms are spacious and everything is spotless. We had dinner, the food was very good and reasonably priced. We would certainly recommend this... More

The owners certainly understand that customer service is vital in today's world. They were attentive, helpful and always available. The room was comfortable including a bed that allowed for restful sleep. The on suite was clean and of adequate size. Breakfast was wholesome and hearty and the cooked part was freshly prepared. There were 3 hand pulled beers in the... More

Looking for a quiet retreat for our company meeting for a couple of days and found the ideal location in The Plough. Service was first class and absolutely nothing was a problem to Gemma and the team. Food was excellent and bedrooms comfortable & spacious. We had the use of a private room for our meetings and along with the... More

After driving past the Plough on many occasions for several years we decided to stay over for one night whilst on tour and I am soooo glad we did. The new owners had recently taken over but were taking everything in their stride. The rooms were ready and spotlessly clean. The beds are luxurious and the village is so quiet... More

Had read previous reviews and thought we would give it a try. We were not disappointed. The inn is situated in beautiful countryside, close to the Dales National Park. On arrival, Gemma and Andrew made us most welcome and were helpful and charming hosts for the duration of our stay. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble. Having only recently... More

Felt immediately at home after being welcomed by Gemma. The room was charming and inviting. Compliments to chef Andrew for his traditional homemade food which was truly delicious. Lovely staff and great service. I would definitely recommend you to stay and dine at The Plough.
