Just returned from a one night stay at The Plough which was ideally situated for our weekend walk up Peny-ghent and Malham with our friends. The rooms were spotless comfortable and warm. The hospitality and food was second to none. If you are visiting the area this is the place to stay.

Out of the way country pub and therefore in a very quiet location. Charming host in Theresa and her staff who are all very friendly and helpful. Very cosy open fire in an old kitchen range in the lounge area and nice to sit around it with a drink. Rooms clean and bright with all amenities and warm enough with... More

Just returned from a one night stay at this lovely old pub. Six of us thoughly enjoyed our stay at The Plough, which is set in the idyllic surroundings of North Yorkshire. The rooms are comfortable, spotless and very well appointed. The pub is, as you would expect, very olde worlde with welcoming log fires and quirky furniture. We had... More

Absolutely lovely meal for large group, over 40 ladies. Fantastic service, nothing too much trouble, food delicious, hot, looked good and served with a smile. Everyone came away very happy. Thank you Theresa, Phil and all the staff.

We have stayed at the Plough twice now and every time the staff have been friendly and welcoming. Great place to go to get away from it all and relax by log fires. Food is excellent and good value for money. I would highly recommend spending time there.

We stayed, 2 couples, just for one night but it was very nice and the food was very tasty. I often have a back pain after sleeping away from home, but I must say that I didn't after this night. Freindly staff and a nice area. (But the tractors are driving like it was a rece all the time!!) Well... More

Booked late for this through booking.com. What a lovely surprise. First class accomodation. Excellent restaurant and lovely owners/staff. Roaring fires and 'olde worlde' feel, but very clean. Room well appointed and comfortable. Only a few minutes from Settle, which gave us time to explore and walk Malham, Grassington and Kilnsey

Spent a wonderful long weekend and could not fault anything. Food was scrumptious - all prepared freshly by the proprietor . Local walking and cycling is first class. We will certainly be returning in the not too distant future.

I have wanted to visit The Plough for a long time and I suppose my expectations were probably too high! There was no atmosphere what so ever, perhaps due to the place split into various rooms. The meal also was very disappointing. I ordered the Plough beef steak burger and what a disappointment, in fact I have had better at... More
