Pulled in to The Washford Inn on our way back from a day at Lynmouth. Have to confess, was not sure from first impressions as we pulled in to an empty car park but, with 8 hungry people including 4 children, we went in to see what was on offer. We were greeted with a friendly and warm welcome. We... More

The management - Dee & Steve - give you a very warm welcome and do their utmost to make your stay as good as possible. We have stayed here for a number of years and enjoy it. The food is good, the accommodation is good and the prices are reasonable. What more due you want?

booked a 2nt groupon deal for £89 1 x dinner, b&b. we were really pleased - we were given the family room which was large & spacious. the hotel decor was really nice, light & airy corridors with tasteful wall art. the room decor was good, the only picky point was bubbled lino in one small area of the bathroom... We booked for 2 nights and were not disappointed. Our room was clean and comfortable with the usual tea making facilities, mini toiletries were also included. However, there was no wardrobe for our clothes only a rack with a couple of hangers. Not a problem for a couple of nights but would be had it been a longer stay. Our... More

The warmth of the welcome and the personalities of the management team are unfortunately insufficient to overcome the shortcomings of the facilities provided, As has been said by other reviewers the beds are awful - an Indian Fakir would baulk at the mattresses in rooms one and two Room one has a double bed but not room enough for two... What can I say, I loved it, loved it, loved it. Dee and Steve the managers are so welcoming and friendly you feel as if you've known them for years and she makes a gorgeous beef curry. The surrounding areas/towns were gorgeous dainty quaint and quirky and so very pretty with Christmas lights everywhere especially porlok and duster. The back... More

Stayed here on a KGB Deal in August. Bedrooms clean & very comfortable. Breakfast was great, and it was not a problem to have something not on the menu in the evening. The bar and locals were also friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for Steve & Dee who were very welcoming and friendly. The only downfall was poor wifi.... More

Called in for a lunch time snack. Ordered food and drinks. After drinking our drinks and waiting for 1/2 an hour approached the bar to find out where our food was. After some searching it was found that the cook had not been checking his orders so no food. Offered to start it then but as we werec already late... More

Stayed here 2 nights on a wowcher deal, and had a nice stay. Hotel pretty much what expected for the price, rooms clean and big enough for a couple to use as a base. Tea and coffee making provided in room, flat screen TV, and a shower cubicle in bathroom. Meals were average pub meals, and so was cooked breakfast.... More
