We have just stayed here, taking advantage of a TravelZoo offer of £139 for 2 nights bed and breakfast with dinner on the first night. And allowing for that, the package was very good value. But realistically the £138 rack rate is rather a joke. The upgraded first floor room was pleasant and a good size. Unfortunately it had a... More

Had 3 nights here with my Husband and Daughter as part of a wedding party. There was warning signs straight away when we were offered no assistance with luggage, when the room was a hike from reception. We slept ok, the bed was not the most comfortable I've ever slept in. At breakfast, we were told there was no buffet... More

Ideal location close to M6 and M42, this was a perfect overnight stop before my morning meetings in Birmingham. Had a ground floor room that was so quiet. Bed was very comfortable and superb bathroom with a deep bath, i love soaking in a deep hot bath. Breakfast was plentiful with the best hotel bacon I've ever had, thick and... More

Stopped off here for one night on business with a friend. Reception area very nice and check in was smooth for having only booked 10 minutes before on booking.com! The room was well equipped and clean - only disappointment was the shower! We had dinner in Houston's Bar and Grill which was okay but would have rather dined in their... More

We stayed one night after our friends wedding. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Staff were very friendly and service was great. Wedding went very well and is good venue for weddings with a choice of rooms depending on size and numbers of guests.

I had the burger, and at the same time wishing I had the stomach of Mr Creosote and the iron will of Superman. It was bland, mediocre and utterly joyless. It had the tang and taste of a fairground beef burger circa 1978. The less said about the turgid sludge of sour cream, the better! I have had far better... More

We stayed here for one night prior to our flight from Birmingham International Airport (park, stay and fly). The whole experience was 1st class. Room excellent. Food in the Houstons Bar and Grill brilliant. The taxi service that was included in the price was very good and the pick up from the airport to take us back to the hotel... More

This hotel is conveniently located for the NEC - took only 10-15 minutes to reach the NEC and I was surprised to find how little traffic there was (a totally different experience to Wembley London). The twin room was very comfortable and we had a good meal in the hotel's Houstons restaurant before leaving for our evening's entertainment at NEC.... More

Lovely stay, very polite and helpful staff. It's in a nice quiet setting too. The decor in the hotel is very nice. Surprised how nice it was for the small price we paid. Rooms were nicely sized and came equipped with all we needed; stuff for milk, coffee and hot chocolate, and large TV for a nice night in.

This was our second visit and we were very disappointed. No atmosphere, staff don't use initiative, had to ask for everything. Room tired in need of up dating. Breakfast poor again had to ask for buffet to be replenished nearly everything empty, staff not bothering.
