Haha, seems like a broken record, everybody says the same thing about Fairhaven. I had no complaints when I stayed here in early November (2015). The entire family is attentive and friendly. The owner spent perhaps half an hour discussing the best route to take when walking the moors given my schedule/lack of boots. Best value of the 10 places... More

Lovely guest house. Great hosts. Hospitable, knowledgable. Nothing was too much trouble - tea and cakes on arrival.Good size room en suite overlooking the moors. Easy parking onsite. When it rained our waterproofs were dried for us. Lively sheep trying to nibble the garden despite the cattle grid! Excellent place for walking or sightseeing in the North Yorkshire Moors.

Fantastic place to stay whatever the weather or time of year. Keith, Liz and Kelly are great hosts and do everything to make your stay enjoyable. A great place to stay in a lovely area. Photo is the view from the bedroom window. They have a licence and hold a good selection of wine and liqueurs. Breakfast choices take some... More

We were a party of three who spent five nights at Fairhaven Guest House on a winter warmer break. This was our second winter warmer break, enjoying it so much last year we felt we had to come back again. The welcome was as warm as ever. The breakfasts were superb, you were spoilt for choice. Nothing was too much... More

When we decided to go away for our Ruby Wedding Anniversary we chose the Fairhaven and we were not disappointed. When we arrived the lovely Liz met us in the car park and helped us in with our luggage. We stayed in room 2. This room is at the front of the house with stunning views out onto the moors.... More

We stop here frequently for 1-2 nights when visiting friends in Goathland - we are made to feel like one of the family. Very comfortable bedrooms. Great breakfasts. Centrally located with fantastic views over the Moors. We should plan to stop longer in future!
