We spent 5 nights at Crakehall Watermill at the end of May 2014. It was a wonderful place with a welcoming cup of tea and home made cake on the afternoon of our arrival and every afternoon after that! The room was very comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities and a bathroom with bath and shower next door. Wi... More

I booked this for my partner and I for a friends wedding in the village. From the start I conversed with Lionel a very pleasant chap indeed, who was very helpful and nice. We stayed at Crakehall for one night and would definitely return. We were given a friendly welcome with homemade cake, crumpets and tea. Very, clean, spacious bedroom with beautiful ensuite bathroom. After reading several reviews for the Watermill we decided to make a booking and Lionel was very helpful. On arrival the location was very pretty and peaceful, Lionel was friendly and welcoming and he asked if we would mind staying in one of the holiday cottages separate from the main house. We were very pleased with this, the cottage was... More

We had the most wonderful time. The proprietors were friendly and welcoming. We were greeted just after Christmas, with logs on the fire, and a beautifully presented tea tray with home made cake, served in the living room. Scrumptious breakfast made with local produce, served on the most exquisite China. Beautiful rooms, wonderful bathrooms and a tour of the mill.... More
