My beautiful new wife and myself have spent a full wknd at this glorious venue, with magnificent views, AND FANTASTIC STAFF! Our wedding day ran without a hitch, and EVERYTHING organised exactly as we wished. We were lucky enough to be able to hire exclusive use of the whole venue, and our family and friends were all totally blown away... More

Booked on the luxury for less package which is good value. We enjoyed our stay but don't think we will return. The bed was rather uncomfortable and creaked quite loudly. Pillows were not good quality and the duvet was heavy and lumpy. There was a grey throw on the bed which had a stain on it and had seen better... More

Like many people we bought a Groupon deal for afternoon tea for two. The booking was made online and was a simple process. On the day we arrived we hoped to have a nice walk but the weather was atrocious so we apologetically arrived earlier than booked and it wasn't a problem at all which was nice. The afternoon tea... My wife and I stay at this hotel two sometimes three times a year, its decor is contemporory whilst rooms traditional and a nice selection of wines. Its location in Wharfedale, with its views, walking, Service and value for money is on the whole almost perfect. As with all hotels there can be glitches, especially if one has been returning... My husband and I have just returned from a one night stay on the Luxury for Less deal and were impressed with every aspect of our stay. We thought the deal was excellent value for money and quality of our evening meal was exceptional. We are fortunate enough to stay as some nice places and eat at some lovely restaurants... More

My husband and I chose the Devonshire Fell for a weekend away to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. For such a special occasion we wanted a bit of luxury. Unfortunately we came away from the Devonshire Fell feeling very underwhelmed. We couldn’t fault the hotel itself or its location. But unfortunately the Hotels staff and its food did not meet... Dear LinnySD2015 Many thanks for your review and your feedback. Please accept my apologies for the sub-standard experience you had at the Fell. I have spoken to the team and passed your comments on to the kitchen. As a result we have overhauled our service system and reviewed the dinner service with the team and I’m pleased to say that... We recently visited this hotel to celebrate my birthday. The hotel is beautiful, in a gorgeous setting above the village of Burnsall. It is extremely comfortable, with nice touches like fresh milk for your room. The room we had was large and airy and very smart. The restaurant had stunning views but it was just a shame that the food... More

Dear holidayqueen4 Many thanks for your review and your feedback. I’m sorry that you didn’t feel our food lived up your expectations - the comments we are always hearing are how wonderful it is. I’ve passed your comments on to the kitchen team so they can look into how they can now improve, and I’m delighted that you let us... More

The location above Burnsall and the building & surrounds are stunning. Room 17 on the 2nd floor was good, spacious with an excellent bathroom. The bed & linen were top drawer. Where it lets itself down is the breakfast to which you are greeted with the smells of burnt toast - leaving the use of a toaster to guests is... More

We have stayed at The Devonshire Arms before but couldn't get in for our anniversary this year so decided to try The Devonshire Fell instead. The hotel has a really good atmosphere-very typical of a country house hotel and a pleasant change from the "manufactured" feel of some of the chains. The rooms are very clean and quite comfortable with... More

Fabulous views and hotel, what a pity the food was only very average, service very poor one very Surley manager not at all welcoming, it was the first time we have never been shown to a room, just told to go upstairs and turn left!
