Brought 3 friends for afternoon tea Friday 5th Feb. We were brought one large red teapot, not asked what sort of tea we would like and had to go and find someone to fill it up again. The service was very poor, they didn't come and ask if we were enjoying our food etc. The cakes were very nice. But... More

Visited here for afternoon tea with my mum as a treat for her birthday! We both really enjoyed it, in particular the lovely views we were able to look out over whilst eating our food. The only piece of constructive criticism I have for this afternoon tea is we would have preferred there to have been a few more finger... More

Thank you Sarah and Helen for a lovely afternoon. The Afternoon Tea was fabulous! Thank you so much for going the extra mile for my Vegan hubby too. Super atmosphere, great service and wonderfully looked after. Please thank all the team. See you again soon. Thank you. Hils, Martin & Pam :)

We revisited The Devonshire Fell through a Secret Escapes deal after an absence of 6 or 7 years. We stayed a few times when it first opened some years ago but were tempted away by a competitor (OK it was the Angel at Hetton). First impressions are good - the hotel has a great location overlooking the village and specifically... More

As soon as we stepped out of the car we knew this was the perfect location for our wedding. The staff, especially Helen, are so friendly and welcoming, we felt like nothing was too much trouble for them. The planning and the actual day went perfectly which is down to the staff here, we really couldn't recommend them enough. A... More

Stayed here for my birthday celebrations with my husband, very impressed by the views from the breakfast table. Ate in the restaurant on the Saturday evening, and food was good, menu very limited and pricey, was shocked to find on checking out that the port we had with our cheese board cost £6.30 each. Very lucky to have heavy snowfalls... More

Just returned from an over night stay at The Devonshire Fell, on arrival the staff were very welcoming and friendly. We were shown to our room which was lovely and clean and had wonderful views and everything we wanted. Had sandwiches and cream tea which was served by lovely staff, the food was very fresh and tasty. Dinner was freshly... More

My partner and I stayed here as part of a livingsocial deal that included a 3 course meal and breakfast. Check in was smooth and the room was nice. Burnsall is a lovely part of the world however due to the heavens opening we weren't able to explore the village. Had drinks in the bar and food in the restaurant... More

Well looked after by Damon and his team. They were ALL so attentive. The chefs did a fantastic job from breakfast to high tea to dinner - absolutely wonderful - no complaints. The room was cozy and clean with a great view of the village of Burnsall. Our dog was one of many of the well behaved canine friends staying... More

This hotel was ideal for our family reunion which took place shortly after Christmas. It felt quite small and intimate whilst offering access to the facilities available at the Devonshire Arms, a 10-15 minutes drive away. The rooms were tastefully furnished and modern and the lounge and bar were pleasant and comfortable with several seating areas. Staff dealt well with... More
