Stayed her for 2 nights in superior double room booked on line. Room 14 appeared very nice initially however during the night we were kept awake by fan noise, not what we expected from a country hotel. The staff did their best to help and moved us to another smaller supposedly quieter room. They said the noise was from the... More

This is a great hotel, well placed with friendly staff and a lovely restaurant. A fair price for a well sized and very good quality meal served by helpful staff. Was working nearby and this is a nice place to end the day

We stayed in one of the five cottages and it suited our needs perfectly. I was surprised how much was provided for us in the way of tea, coffee, toiletries, etc. The cottage was well kitted out with iron, fridge/freezer, dish washer (which didn't work too well) plenty of crockery, cutlery to cater for six people to eat. The staff... More

Many thanks for taking the time to review us. Really pleased you and your party enjoyed your time with us, it was a pleasure to look after you all. The cottages are great if you need plenty of space and require home from home comforts. We cleaned out the filter on the dishwasher and it is now working well !... More

We stayed here with friends as part of a wedding party. Check in was friendly and painless, not even a request for a credit card. Our room was in the Manor House, perfectly acceptable and clean with good bathroom provisions. Not luxury but in keeping with what you should expect from a rural Inn. Our evening meal was really quite... More

We booked a room at the Red Lion as we wanted to walk some of the Dales Way. It was a last minute decision but we were not disappointed. The room in the Manor House was exactly as described and very comfortable. The shower was compact but absolutely fine. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. We were offered... More

We recently attended a wedding at the Red Lion and found the venue to be a fantastic location for such an event. In the main social area the layout is cosy, but not cramped and very conducive to a medium sized wedding party. There is also an outside terrace that offers further options... on the basis that the weather holds... More

Thank you for taking the time to review us, firstly we are pleased that you enjoyed our food, we apologise if you feel that the waitresses were miserable as we normally receive good feedback on our staff. With regards to the rooms at the Manor House, we know that some of them are very small which is why you are... More

This Pub is very traditional and would suit people on holiday and those who are not early risers. Breakfast starts at 8.30 am. Shame so late, as it's such a lovely area and there is so much to see. I was there for work and needed to be away early. Think 8.30 is fine at weekends, but not in the... More

Stayed here for a night whilst cycling the Way of the Roses. Our room was excellent and having been all day on a bicycle we were thrilled to have such a nice room with deluxe bathroom products. Our evening meal and breakfast was also good. A great location, we recommend it.
