Picked the Cornmill because it looked attractive and was in the area that we wanted to visit. Only stayed 3 nights instead of the 4 we had booked due to unforseen circumstances, but very sad to leave. A lovely B&B in every respect, everything is top quality, especially the owners. If you want to visit the North York Moors, don't... More

This is an amazing place to use as your base when visiting North Yorkshire. It's in a great location close to the main A170 for visiting Scarborough, Pickering (North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR)), The North Yorkshire Moors, Castle Howard etc etc. It is also close enough to walk into Kirbymoorside of an evening too. The room we stopped in had... More

I stay at the Cornmill regularly for business and it is always a pleasure. Karen and Chris are always very welcoming, nothing is ever too much trouble. The rooms are quirky and extremely comfortable Then there is the breakfast - I challenge anyone to find a better breakfast than the breakfast that Karen provides, it is fabulous and really does... Beautiful location, excellent couple running the place, very individual rooms, not 'Travelodge'!! Breakfast fab. The feature mill course running through the breakfast room was fab & the owners are obviously very proud of it. Only reason it doesn't have 5 stars is that we could hear the couple in the room above as the floor boards creaked & we could... More

Whilst it is not the best place (or the cheapest) that we have stayed in we could not fault the welcome and service from the owners. Breakfast was cooked to order and there was enough variety to satisfy most visitors. Is well situated for exploring the moors and is so quiet you would not believe the main road to Pickering/Scarborough... More

Was meant to visit on April 30th but due to hospital emergency wasn't able to make the trip. Spoke to Chris and Karen and they managed to sort me out a full refund. Can't thank them enough after such short notice and when in the nearby area in the future will definitely be giving them my custom. Thanks the pair... More

We stayed 3 nights at this B&B over the Easter holiday. Despite its proximity to the main road it is very quiet. We were offered coffee and biscuits on arrival in the guest lounge. We booked room 1 which initially felt a little bit chilly but we found was more than warm enough as the radiators kicked out an immense... More

Had a lovely 3 day stay here with my Girlfriend. We loved the cosy and clean room, comfortable double bed and water feature in the dining room at breakfast. We were met by Chris on our initial late afternoon arrival, where we were served with coffee and biscuits in the communal guest lounge. I found Karen and Chris to be... More

We stayed for one night en route to Scotland. We were met by Karen, who proved to be very welcoming and helpful, and who made us a pot of tea which we had in the guest lounge. We stayed in Room 1, which is a ground floor room with a large shower room. Both bedroom and shower room were very... More
