Whilst it is not the best place (or the cheapest) that we have stayed in we could not fault the welcome and service from the owners. Breakfast was cooked to order and there was enough variety to satisfy most visitors. Is well situated for exploring the moors and is so quiet you would not believe the main road to Pickering/Scarborough... More

Was meant to visit on April 30th but due to hospital emergency wasn't able to make the trip. Spoke to Chris and Karen and they managed to sort me out a full refund. Can't thank them enough after such short notice and when in the nearby area in the future will definitely be giving them my custom. Thanks the pair... More

We stayed 3 nights at this B&B over the Easter holiday. Despite its proximity to the main road it is very quiet. We were offered coffee and biscuits on arrival in the guest lounge. We booked room 1 which initially felt a little bit chilly but we found was more than warm enough as the radiators kicked out an immense... More

Had a lovely 3 day stay here with my Girlfriend. We loved the cosy and clean room, comfortable double bed and water feature in the dining room at breakfast. We were met by Chris on our initial late afternoon arrival, where we were served with coffee and biscuits in the communal guest lounge. I found Karen and Chris to be... More

We stayed for one night en route to Scotland. We were met by Karen, who proved to be very welcoming and helpful, and who made us a pot of tea which we had in the guest lounge. We stayed in Room 1, which is a ground floor room with a large shower room. Both bedroom and shower room were very... More

Recently enjoyed a superb two night stay at The Cornmill. From the moment we arrived and were welcomed by Chris we had the immediate sense that The Cornmill is something special and that's exactly what it was in every respect! Our rooms were beautiful, comfortable and extremely well appointed. We had two ground floor rooms and didn't worry for a... More

We first discovered the Cornmill ten years ago. Since then we have had several visits to the B&B and several to the Stables cottages and every one has been excellent. We have just returned from a stay in one of the cottages and it was excellent. It is well equipped, very comfortable, warm, cosy and extremely peaceful. Chris and Karen... More

Have just spent a night at the Cornmill, Kirby Moorside wish we could have stayed longer. The mill has been lovingly restored and has a very special feel to it. Our room was lovely, quality fixtures and fittings and amazing attention to detail, in fact it was the little details that made it special. E.g the head board was an... More

We stayed for two nights in this converted corn mill where you can see the watercourse under a glass panel in the floor of the breakfast room. A beautiful conversion of an historic building in a good location, ideally situated for the coast and the moors. Quiet rooms and delicious breakfasts. We would return to try out the cottages here.
