We stayed here for two nights whilst walking TMB. Wonderful little hotel, perched on hillside with amazing views of Grand Combin and also up the Val Ferret. Very warm welcome from Marlene , the owner. Amazing food cooked by her husband. Champex, beautiful village by lake and thoroughly enjoyed a rest day here. Would highly recommend staying here. Just off... More

We stayed here on the TMB trek and would give this place a very high recommendation! First of all Marlene and her husband are so friendly and welcoming. The rooms are great with great view. Highlight was dinner for sure, do not miss half board here. The dinner was out of this world. Breakfast was a treat too, after every... More

We stayed here a few nights and the owners were literally falling over themselves to make us feel welcome and at home. The hotel is situated on the side of the mountain at the end of a little track, with sweeping views into the valley. This is a family owned hotel and the husband is an accomplished cook, treating his... More

Stayed here on our hike of the Haute Route. Coming from the Fenetre d'Arpette, it is a long walk all the way across town, but this place is worth it, and it is right next to the trailhead for the next mornings walk to Le Chable! This day was a killer hike for us with all sorts of weather and... More

This was our second stay at Hotel Alpina – and we can only conclude, that once again we felt very happy with this choice. All of our needs and expectations were fully met, fulfilled and above what you would ever await from a small local hotel way up the mountains: A convenient location close to many major sights of the... This is a very special place and a must if you are in the area. My son and I were hiking the Walkers Haute route and spent the night in Champex. This hotel was selected for us by the service that planned our hike. When we were looking for a place to have dinner, the reviews on Tripadvisor prompted us... More

this was our family's starting and ending point for the TMB route - after staying there our first night, we spent the next week and a half looking forward to our return there at the end of our trip (staying at the refugios was definitely a different experience!). considering we carried our entire gear with us and didn't take any... The hotel is perfectly positioned right at the end of two valleys with breathtakingly long views down both. This has got to be one of the most superb views of any hotel I have stayed in. The hotel is a wooden cladded building adorned with alpine flowers that actaully appears better in real life than in the photo (which makes... More

We arrived after 7 days on the TMB to a mountain town with a beautiful glacier lake that you can swim in. This hotel was a much appreciated destination with lovely service, great jacuzzi bathtubs and showers, wifi, great views and friendly, available service. You cannot go wrong in this one and take the set dinner, it was delicious.

Wonderful large room including jacuzzi! Marlene and Stefan were the perfect hosts, so welcoming when we arrived and accommodating with the dinner (no meat for me) and an early breakfast - the food was exceptional. The views were also incredible and it's a wonderful place to spend any amount of time. We stayed during the TMB, it's very convenient for... More
