What a hotel - this has to be one of the best kept secrets in the Alps. Billed as being in the foothills of Mont Blanc (never really knew as I couldn't find Mont Blanc), but wow - what a location, Mont blanc or otherwise. We arrived just as it was getting dark, having would our way through very windy... More

We came across the Alpina completely by chance - going by the Tripadvisor ratings. They were all spot on! We were on honeymoon in September 2014, hiking the TDMB and Alpina was our haven. We were welcomed with a mini bottle of chilled champagne, amazing food, beautiful rest and recouperation and a fabulously friendly, cosy atmosphere. Spotlessly clean, quiet, calm,... More

Came with no reservation and at first they said they have no room but they quickly made another bed so that I could stay. The place is lovely seating on the deck watching the sun set was one of the greatest moments of the trip. Dinner was superb they truly deserve a Michelin star. Breakfast was also very nice- all... We stayed at this hotel during our Haute Route hike and enjoyed it very much. We just wished we had more time to enjoy relaxing on the deck as it was very peaceful and the hotel has sweeping views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Marlena, our host, was lovely. Our room was spacious, comfortable and very quiet. We had... More

We stayed here for two nights whilst walking TMB. Wonderful little hotel, perched on hillside with amazing views of Grand Combin and also up the Val Ferret. Very warm welcome from Marlene , the owner. Amazing food cooked by her husband. Champex, beautiful village by lake and thoroughly enjoyed a rest day here. Would highly recommend staying here. Just off... More

We stayed here on the TMB trek and would give this place a very high recommendation! First of all Marlene and her husband are so friendly and welcoming. The rooms are great with great view. Highlight was dinner for sure, do not miss half board here. The dinner was out of this world. Breakfast was a treat too, after every... More

We stayed here a few nights and the owners were literally falling over themselves to make us feel welcome and at home. The hotel is situated on the side of the mountain at the end of a little track, with sweeping views into the valley. This is a family owned hotel and the husband is an accomplished cook, treating his... More

Stayed here on our hike of the Haute Route. Coming from the Fenetre d'Arpette, it is a long walk all the way across town, but this place is worth it, and it is right next to the trailhead for the next mornings walk to Le Chable! This day was a killer hike for us with all sorts of weather and... More

This was our second stay at Hotel Alpina – and we can only conclude, that once again we felt very happy with this choice. All of our needs and expectations were fully met, fulfilled and above what you would ever await from a small local hotel way up the mountains: A convenient location close to many major sights of the... This is a very special place and a must if you are in the area. My son and I were hiking the Walkers Haute route and spent the night in Champex. This hotel was selected for us by the service that planned our hike. When we were looking for a place to have dinner, the reviews on Tripadvisor prompted us... More
