A very friendly hotel with an excellent restaurant! We stayed there for the first couple of nights of a walking trip in the dordogne. At about 35 degrees, the great AC was much needed and much appreciated. The luxury, after about ten miles of walking, to hit the shower, put the AC on full blast and then getting a truly... More

We stayed at the Cote Rivage in August 2014 but I have only just got around to leaving this review. This small hotel is situated on the banks of the Dordogne river with superb views from the restaurant and front facing rooms. Our room was probably one of the smallest and did not have a view but this was reflected... More

This was such a lovely hotel to stay in and also had great food, we ate in the restaurant for two of the three nights we stayed. You will need a car, but the location is excellent, there is also some benches and tables out by the river, so you can picnic out there if you want to. There is... More

Comfortable rooms facing the Dordogne River. The proprietor is a credentialed chef de cuisine who serves fine dinners – not the straight regional dishes, but standard ingredients cooked creatively. This is also a good place for Bergerac wines, and we enjoyed a glass of sweet Montbazillac with our foie gras first course. We stayed 3 nights, using this as a... More

This hotel is situated on a lovely quiet area of the Dordogne. And is close to all the impressive sights on the river. Philippe the proprietor and chef is a gem in the kitchen. His wife Nadine is front of house and is very welcoming, with a great sense of humour and her English is of a very high standard.... More

A year since our first visit, my wife and I went back in November 2013 for a 4 night stay with Philippe and Nadine, the husband and wife team who run the Cote Rivage. We just love it there. It's off season so we were not surprised to be the only people in the hotel, and we consequently got extra... More

Superbly run with a relaxed and informal atmosphere, the hotel is beautifully located beside the river and within easy distance of pretty Lalinde. With comfortable rooms, most welcoming owners and an excellent (truly excellent) restaurant it's sure we will be back.

When I booked this hotel, I was under two misimpressions: first, that it was close to the prehistoric caves around Les Eyzies, and second, that we would be able to swim in the Dordogne from the hotel. As to the first, I realized the day after booking this that, while not far as the crow flies, this hotel is at... More

We stayed 3 nights in a very pretty room (after a diplomatically-sorted out mix-up) and found this not only a superb place to tour part of the Dordogne region from in our car but also a lovely place to return to for beer/wine and relax on the garden's loungers followed by a 3-or 4-course meal that, whilst higher than average... Nadine & Philippe made us very welcome from the moment we arrived until we left. We spent 2-nights at this lovely hotel, good quality rooms with views of the Dordogne and all were very clean and kept to a high standard. It is located close to the river in a small village just a few kilometres from Lalinde which is... More
