This is not your typical full service resort. Stay here if you want to experience the old rickety Malay houses set amidst peaceful surroundings littered with residential cats. We stayed at Blue Ginger house which is good for couple. I loved the opened concept shower area with tub! No cable TV and phone in the house and DVDs are available... More

Part of me is slightly reluctant to write this review.....not because I have anything bad to say....just a fear that by writing a good review it'll encourage more and more people to visit.....which may make it hard to get a room next time we want to....and we WILL MOST DEFINITELY GO BACK! From the moment we arrived we knew that... More

My fiance and I (just engaged the day before arriving at Bon Ton) were welcomed with a cold beer as we talked about our travel in and as we filled out the forms at the hotel. Then showed to our room, our bags already carried to the room by the time we got in. Arriving in the room to a... More

We stayed here for a family wedding (having taken over the entire hotel) - it is comprised of eight individually styled antique Malay villas, the perfect small boutique hotel. It was a ten minute drive from Langkawi Airport and hence easy to connect for a short stay on the island. Nam Restaurant at Bon Ton is regarded as one of... More

To be sure it is a charming place to stay, renovated Malay houses but the air-con is totally useless as the houses are not properly sealed, you have to be directly under the air-con for it to be effective. There is therefore little respite from the heat for what you are paying for. I suggest doing away with it and... More

We spent 4 nights at Bon Ton Resort and had a fantastic time. It is such a charming and relaxing place - as previous reviewers have said, it is difficult to leave! The restored kampong houses are charming - a bit rickety and beautifully decorated inside and very comfortable. If you are looking to stay in a 5* hotel, this... More

The hotel is nice and hidden from the busy part of the Cenang. the concept of old traditional malay house is nice and cozy. however, they need more restoration. the wooden shower's floor was creaky as it has been soaked with water. the outdoor bath was dirty and filled with leaves. probably needs a scrub too. the house/room is huge... Our family recently stayed a week. We were attracted to Bon Ton by a Silk Air inflight magazine feature highlighting the restored kampong houses and the attached animal shelter. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and shown to our kampong for the week - Silk. A full size traditional home with balcony, outdoor bath, full length louvres and 2 four... More

BonTon is a magic experience, actually you might not want to leave. This was my second visit and all I remembered it to be. In a recent trip with girlfriends after many days of sight seeing else where we practiced what we referred to as the eternal triangle: eat, sleep, pool. After 4 days we felt duty bound to at...
