Rooms: Our family checked into 3 rooms close to the swimming pool restauant from 10-12th June 2012! The rooms are almost bare without even curtains! The flooring: uncarpeted but tiled with rough ceramic tiles. The central ac is good but the TV programmes lousy! Bed linens almost worn out and yellowish albeit considered clean! Lighting too dimmed for comfort. One... More

My family and I went to bintan in July 2011. We departed from batam by ferry. We went arround to see some hotels and they were all really nice. But then we decided to stay at Nirwana because of my friend's recommendation. The hotel was nice and it has very beautiful view. I've been to bali before, and I think... More

My boyfriend and I were really looking forward to our weekend away in Bintan, the hotel's website made the accommodation look very luxurious and as a special treat we booked the superior room rather then the deluxe. Tired from the ferry ride, we checked in and made our way to our "Superior room" the door and entire corridor was full... More

There are plenty of better places to stay in Bintan than this hotel. Problems we encountered: Leaking toilet in Ensuite meant that room was unusable for most of our stay. Run down villa, very tired no where near the quality you'd expect for the price. Bedding terrible, stained and pillows very cheap and uncomfortable. Every single sun bed by the... More

Great relaxing weekend stay at the Nirwana Resort Hotel on Bintan Island in Indonesia at a great location. It is a lovely resort, friendly, big rooms, clean, beautiful beach and has a helpful staff. However, one caution is advised. If some of the resort staff offers to assist you in purchasing an item for you as a nice gesture, be... More

Have not been to Bintan for at least 3 years. Usually would stay at Bintan Lagoon or Nirwana. Last weekend was at Nriwana......still the same ......not much changes. Location: The nearest hotel to/from the ferry terminal, 15 mins to hotel. Free shuttle service to and fro. Room: Clean....bed not so comfortable..seem aged need replace with new one. No towels when... More

I've spent less time in Bangkok airport immigration lines in peak hour times than the line at Bintan. When we FINALLY got through, I was very disappointed, the beach is not very nice, and have warning signs of black oil, which we all got on our feet, and also found a syringe, which was awful. Room is nice. I cannot... More

This resort has something for everyone in a family. A nice beach for romantic walks, beautiful pool for relaxing and swimming, a mini zoo, free transport to other resorts and restaurants, in-house restaurants and friendly staff!

The whole trip was fun and was glad that we were given upgrade to one of the villas which was nice though no ammenities in the toilets - not an issue for me. The only flaw was upon check out, we were held as they claimed the we have lost a towel or two from the pool area which might... More

I traveled with my mother last December and upon arriving at the ferry terminal in Bintan Island the staff of Nirwana was already there to greet me and there was a bus carrying passengers to the hotel. The Garden-view room was just a few meters away from the sea and the beach there was quite good. Moreover, if you wanted... More
