Just came back from a short break staying at the Nirwana Resort Hotel. Staff there are really friendly and helpful especially Salim who works in F&B. Property is old but still acceptable. Stayed in the Premier rooms so was ok since they were recently renovated. However, the meals are more expensive than in Singapore. WARNIG: we ordered kueh lapis from... More

As a resort I am sure that we could have found better, but not so close to Singapore. After 5 days in Singapore (which we loved), we wanted to have a couple of days chilling out doing nothing. Hence the two night stay on Bintan, which is only a 50 min ferry ride away. The hotel was nice, but our... More

First glance: great. But quickly going down to: "average". The initial impression really gives you the "wow" feeling, with a great lobby and the huge amount of facilities. The surroundings and various restaurants are awesome, but the rooms itself look a bit tired and could do with a major overhaul. Cracked tiles, loose fittings, a cheaply feeling bed, spot repairs... I've stayed in this hotel 2 times. They have 2 side of the ocean. One side where they have water sports and the other one where they have the beach. For rooms they have 2 options which is hotel and cottages. IMO it's better to take the cottages because they're more unique and fits more ppl, plus they're cheaper than... More

Nice resort for families with kids. Lots of activities to occupy kids for a short 3days 2 nights stay. There is a mini zoo, trampoline, batik painting, elephant park, pool with kids play area and playground. Adults can try their hands at air rifle and archery. There are more games but we didnt try. There is no lack of food... More

We booked for a 3D2N stay and we definitely NOT recommend this resort for your holiday! Check-in was terrible, they gave us a wrong type of room and there are so many tourists checking in at the same time that it takes TOO long to get your room key. Swimming pool is dirty and old (a Komodo Varan was IN... More

This is my third or fourth review over the last decade as i been visiting since the 1990s, though my last visit was at least 2 years ago From speaking to the staff, I understand there is now new management in place since late 2014. I could not help feeling ripped-off at every instance. Prices of everything are higher than... More

Feel like getting cheated by the complimentary WI-FI. The resort staff told us that they have provided complimentary wifi for 2 device. However, the connection for the said WIFI totally cannot connect. Then we ask for the reception and they said we need to purchase from them 1MB = Rupiah 145,000. We are very confuse what is "COMPLIMENTARY"in this case.Damn... More

Although the ferry terminal reception and bus transfer were efficient and friendly, our experience at the Nirwana Garden started with a little bit unpleasant surprise. We booked a 3 bedroom villa because it looked nice in picture on the hotel website. When we arrived, the 3 bedroom villa looked dated; it felt like private owner rents it out at high... More
