it is a very nice resort! the ppl there are veyr friendly.. and i guess its the best part of the holiday. it was quite rainy during the few days we were there, so we didn't really get to enjoy the beach and sun. we did snorkelling, but the corals were seriously very dead and nothing much was to be... If you want quiet and plan to stay at the resort only and don't have a lot of expectations for activities/independent travel outside of the resort, then it may be good for you. Agree that the resort is showing its age. Room had many stains on the area near the wetbar, and bathroom and woodwork are showing their age. Little... More

The resort was in a great location with two great golf courses but the facility was run down, overpriced, underserviced, lacked maintenance and left us ill (not sure if it was the food or water). We felt our choices to explore the island were hampered by the resort, with only one taxi company allowed within the gates. It cost us... More

We were supposed to stay for 3 nights and 4 days, however we cut it short to 2 days and ran back to Singapore! Hotel was very RUN DOWN, with facilities extremely OUTDATED and in a dire need of a make over. What is very shocking is the price! Things are extremely Overpriced with a bottle of mineral water costing... More

I was on business in Singapore for a month. I decided to get a way for a night and as this was just a short ferry ride (was a nice boat) to Bintan Island figured I would check it out. The hotel was very nice, clean and overall felt safe here. I was unsure what to expect since it was... More

My boyfriend and I had a great trip to Bintan Island. Aside from the rough ferry (bring seabands and dramamine), which is not the resorts fault, it was completely relaxing and beautiful. We stayed for four nights. Our room was comfortable and pretty clean. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We had perfect weather eventho it was monsoon season.... More

We stayed here last weekend and having read the reviews on Tripadvisor was a little apprehensive. However my husband wanted to play golf so this was his choice and we were not disappointed. Will agree that the restaurants could be better and they are expensive for what you get., this is not helped by the ++ after the basic cost... More

I stayed at the Bintan Lagoon Resort from 02/09/2008-02/12/2008, with family and friends, together 8 adults and 3 children (aged 7, 5, and 3). The hour-long ferry ride from Singapore to Bintan was so bumpy (it's the monsoon season) that more than 50% on board got sea sick. The check-in took a long time, which was hard on the children,... Manage to try out Bintan Lagoon Resort from 10th Feb to 12th Feb 2008. Just like you, I read about the review, it doesn't sounds too good. Throughout the 3D2N stay with my wife, 4-year-old, a 7-month-old and my parents, everything went on quite smoothly. Land transfer, check-in, check-out, staff friendliness, all no problem with us. But, there is always... More

Went there for a getaway weekend with my GF. As a background, I am used to go to 5 star hotel and resorts, quite particular about the room standard and hotel service. Hotel wise, it's not one of the significant item from this trip. However, the beach, water, and the waves! are the ones that will bring me back there.... More
