We stayed recently for 4 nights as a base to explore the local bays, hills and Pembroke coastal path and park. The Inn is a converted coach house and as such still has that lovely olde worlde feel. The back bar/ patio area is really lovely and the river Nevern runs through and provides a very enjoyable backdrop. Our room... More

We were staying in Newport for a week and on our last night decided to visit this pub and eat in the bar as we had dogs with us and they were not allowed into the restaurant which I fully understand. We received a very unfriendly welcome from the lady behind the bar which was empty ,therefore no ambience. My husband had... We were glad to see the Salutation Inn hove into sight after a long drive from Glasgow. An excellent pint of beer quickly dealt with the stress of the journey. Our room was dated but the beds were OK - and everything worked. We had an excellent sleep. The whole area is exceptionally quiet. But the highlight was breakfast taken... More

We stayed for one night as we were going further south the next day. We had eaten prior to arrival, mistake! When we saw some of the dishes being served we did regret not eating there. Evening meals are served in the bar. Breakfast in the dining room was perfect. Lovely outlook onto the garden and the extended dining room... More

We didn't stay at the Salutation Inn, but visited the restaurant on our fist evening in the area, on friends recommendation. The team were all very friendly and accommodating (our dog allowed in the public bar/restaurant) and made us feel welcome. The SI is a refurbished older style inn, but not overdone, so it still has it's original village character.... More

Lovely welcoming and obliging people, beautifully presented food, ample free parking. No stairs! Our room was quiet despite the traffic road outside and had no creaking floors, and the Inn is situated outside any town or village, but has very easy access to the obvious shops and facilities needed and also to numerous tourist attractions. This was our second time... More

We came here to explore and walk the Pembrokeshire Hills and National park. The rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast was excellent with many choices. The owner most helpful to give advice on walks.

We had to get this place at very short notice when the other B&B we had booked turned out to be in the wrong Newport over 80 miles away! Very friendly staff, very nice ensuite room with massive comfy bed, very tasty breakfasts. Lovely dinner there too.

A lovely, cozy inn with excellent food good beer and delightful atmosphere. Excellent rooms at the very quiet rear of the inn with super king-sized beds presided over by hosts John and Gwawr who not only accommodated 4 guests at no notice but who couldn't do enough for us. Absolutely lovely. Wonderful home made bread at breakfast too!!
