My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Thomas Roberts Guest house at the beginning of May. The attention to detail during our stay was second to none. The room was not only comfortable but elegant and above all immaculate. Our breakfast was a delight both to the eye and the taste .nothing was too much trouble it... More

A truly delightful experience staying in this lovely Georgian B&B with an interesting story. Angela and her husband made us most welcome, even going to the trouble of finding the correct channel for a tv programme my husband didn't want to miss. Warm comfortable bedroom, with fresh flowers and what a breakfast, fabulous creamy scrambled eggs with crisp bacon and... More

Stayed for 1 night b & b using 'Unique Places to Stay' voucher that was a Christmas present. We stayed in the 'Carter Room' which was lovely and had great views over Hatherleigh. When we arrived Angela served us an excellent Cream Tea, gave us a tour of the house, and advised us on nice places to have dinner. Breakfast... More

This was a fantastic place to stay, Angie was very accomodating considering we turned up like drowned rats after our bike ride. A very lovely, friendly place to stay with an amazing breakfast. Somewhere that goes above and beyond expectations!

This is truly a hidden gem just off the High St in Hatherleigh. The 3 letting bedrooms in this elegant Georgian style house are beautifully fitted out, with the most comfortable of beds and a lovely ensuite boasting thick, fluffy white towels and carefully chosen toiletries. For Angela the owner, this B&B it is obviiously a labour of love first... More

We couldn't have asked for anything more during our short stay at Thomas Roberts House. A warm and friendly welcome, the delicious cream tea (did we decide whether the cream or the jam went on first?), a good night's sleep in a tastefully decorated room, spotlessly clean with good bathrooms followed by a really tasty breakfast all added up to... This is a wonderful bed and breakfast - a large georgian house with a superb entrance hall, welcoming fire and imposing winding staircase leading up to the bedrooms. Steve and Angela are fantastic hosts and nothing is too much trouble. Everything is thought out with much care and you are absolutely their top priority. The room we stayed in was... More

This was the 2nd time we have stayed at the wonderfull Thomas Roberts House and once again were made to feel so welcome by Steve and Angela. You receive a lovely cream tea on arrival before settling in to your fine room. We actually have family that live in the town and choose to stay here to pamper ourselves! You... More

After a hard day's cycle on the Devon coast-to-coast Steve and Angie offered us a really warm welcome. That, combined with secure bike storage, a luxurious room and a top-notch cooked breakfast (including Angie's speciality 'Aga' eggs) made this a real treat. I'd recommend the Thomas Roberts House to anyone needing to stay in the Hatherleigh area. It's particularly well-suited... More
