Lovely bed and breakfast in a great location for my visit to Richard III exhibition. Very friendly hosts lit a log fire and supplied tea and homemade cake after a walk to see the deer just across from the BB. Great bed room and bedding, lovely en suite shower every thing you ask for from a bb and more. Great... More

This was our first stop en route to Scotland. As is usual with accommodation under the Wolsey Lodge banner everything was excellent. The very warm welcome received from Linda and Tim was followed by excellent clean accommodation - our room was on the ground floor. The breakfast the following morning set us up for a full day ahead. Nothing was... More

We stayed here again in July, prior to Annual General Inspection over at Welbeck. We were warmly welcomed and were happy to see that little had changed. We had one of the upstairs rooms and our daughter had the downstairs double we had last time, which we were both very happy with. Bed linen is immaculate, pillows and mattress very... More

You are most welcome and thank you for your comments. The garden is very abundant at the moment which makes for lovely stewed fruit at Breakfast time. Although you don't live very far away, I hope you will come and stay again and/or suggest us to business associates. More

We have just returned from a two night stay and thought Horseshoe Cottage Farm was most impressive. The place is filled with character and warmth and the welcome from our hosts was nothing less. All the rooms are good sizes, clean, homely and oozing with old world charm. The breakfasts were really first class with ample cereal, fresh fruit and... More

I stayed for one night with a friend as we going to a party in a neighbouring village. A deceptively large accommodation which the hosts were very happy to share with guests. A warm and friendly welcome. Very comfortable and charming bedroom which has lots of character and also modernised. Breakfast was taken in the garden and very generous with... More

Thanks for the nice review. We aim to provide the highest of standards and welcome to our home. You were blessed with a glorious morning for breakfast outside following the party the night before. Maybe we will see you in the future and you can spend some time exploring this lovely area. More

Nice place, ample secure parking, lovely area and to begin with a friendly stay. The whole experience was spoiled for us by a) a very small breakfast for one person certainly not the feast noted in the B&B publicity, b) being told (ourselves and 4 other people) we had to be quiet for the benefit of two other guests who... This was our second stay and this time we brought along family too. What a wonderful welcome! This bed and breakfast is the best we have stayed in. Charming yet unpretentious, it is easy to feel at home. The rooms have lots of character, are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is great in a lovely dining room opening onto a patio... More

We are delighted that you have returned and that once again you were pleased with your stay. It is so nice that you were able to show your grandson Bradgate Park where you were brought up, the wonderful old trees and the secret places you used to go as a youngster. We look forward to your next visit soon. More

We stopped off for 3 nights at the end of a tour of the southwest of England, and having experienced the rest, I have definitely now experienced the best! Whilst you will appreciate the comfort of the rooms and lovely surroundings, it is the warmth of the welcome that makes Horseshoe unique, my wife and i travel with work but... More

Thank you both very much for such a great review. I must add that you made hosting very easy and we enjoyed your company and look forward to your return visit when the DIY is needed in Anstey. Next time make a bit of time for yourselves to visit some of the nice sites in the area, More

My head office is near by and living in the south east I am required to spend nights away in the area north of Leicester. After trying all the desultory hotels in the region I took a leap and tried Horseshoe Cottage. That was over four years ago and I have been back on a regular basis ever since. Why?... More
