We stayed here, as we needed to stop off on the way back from a sports event, and it had to be near Welbeck DSFC. We were very tired, but the welcome we got couldn't have been warmer. Linda had cooked us a terrific homemade meal, and we took our own wine. The living room with open fire is so... More

Your teenagers are a credit to you and were easy to talk to and as a family you would be most welcome should you need a bed for the night in this area. We value any comments and aim to maintain the highest of standards so was pleased to hear you were happy. Until the next time….. More

Linda and Tim did a wonderful job of looking after us in our recent stay in Cropston. We could not have been made to feel more welcome. Linda really went out of her way to meet our needs, including making some special soda bread for my wife who has a yeast allergy, Linda's homemade bread and marmalade is lovely, and... More

Thank you for your review. We have had some thoughts on your comments regarding the lack of view from the window and it would make a lovely private terrace there and will be more peaceful now the building work on our neighbours house nears completion. Some nice planters and a small table and chairs with the shrubbery cut back, will... More

Had to be away from home for a few nights on business. Linda and Tim took away the pressure of anonymous hotels by providing a relaxing, homely and refreshing place to stay. Linda's cooking is fabulous - would really recommend pork in madeira sauce with seasonal veg. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable with really good quality organic toiletries. The... More

Thank you for your lovely comments. I know you had a tiring course at Go MAD and that we gave you some time to reflect on all those positive thoughts in the quietness of our home. We look forward to welcoming more of your colleagues in the months to come. More

Without a doubt, one of the best decisions we made in the planning of our wedding was to have the reception at Horseshoe Cottage Farm. Linda and Tim went the extra mile in helping us plan our perfect day. The result was a small party in beautiful surroundings perfect for the little kids, and the older folk (and those of... More

This was our first visit to a Wolsley Lodge type posh B and B. Hitherto we have preferred the slight anonymity of smaller hotels. First impressions matter. The immediate welcome. Tim striding out to the car offering to help with the luggage-and promptly offering tea on the terrace to wind down after the journey. Linda repeating the offer of help... More

Thank you for your lovely review and we would certainly be delighted if you became 'lifers' although it does entail a weekly stay! We are glad you have now discovered Wolsey Lodges and hope that you go on and stay in many more in the future but be a swallow and return to us at least once a year please! More

This was my second stay and I can honestly say this is the best B and B I have stayed in. Tim and Linda are lovely and welcoming, the rooms are perfect and the eggs Benedict is truly amazing. I will certainly be back and can highly recommend this fantastic place. I forgot to mention the freshly squeezed orange juice,... More

At least your stay this time was not interrupted by dreadful snow and ice! We are glad you have enjoyed your stays here and that you now stay in Wolsey Lodges having discovered the group that we are part of. It was sunshine this time, snow last time lets hope for sun again next time. More

If you set an exam question to describe the characteristics of an ideal B&B, then Horseshoe Cottage Farm would be the full-mark model answer. It is rare when staying away for business that you really want to be there - but this is the exception. Relaxed, stress-free and peaceful, set in fantastic surroundings and run by wonderful people - Linda... More

I stayed recently the evening before my nephew's prize-giving at Welbeck. An extremely well presented hotel/B&B - the rooms were large, characterful and brilliantly prepared. The welcome from Linda and Tim could not have been warmer. We chose to eat there and it was wonderful - just tell Linda beforehand what you would like and she will do it. Terrific... More

Linda and Tim are fantastic hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. Their b&b is charming, comfortable, a home away from home. We have just stayed there for the 3rd time and look forward to the fourth! Enough said ;-)

We stayed with Linda and Tim for 3 nights with our 2 children. From start to finish it was a wonderful experience. The rooms were very comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfasts were great and very much appreciated by our children! The cottage is set in the most picturesque setting opposite Bradgate park. There are numerous walks you can... More
