We had an amazing 3 night break at the Kingfisher Lodge, fantastic quiet, beautiful location - very private, surrounded by beautiful nature and lakes. The hot tub is absolutely lovely - we spent ages relaxing in the tub with some lovely bubbly. Real attention to detail with lovely welcome back with champagne, wine, fresh eggs, bacon etc, BBQ on the... More

My wife booked a lodge for our fifth wedding anniversary, so a wooden cabin was most apt. The lodge was fairly easy to find and the welcome delightful. In addition to the fully fitted lodge, with full kitchen mod-cons, there is a television, WiFi, a shower/sauna, a barbecue and a hot tub.... I love a hot tub, I really do.... More

Everything had been thought of even down to the fleeces should you need them. We stayed in Woodpecker Lodge and the layout was amazing. Lovely open plan lounge/kitchen with all the amenities. Stayed in Woodpecker lodge last week. Just like most reviews our expectations were exceeded and then some. Lewis Hamilton (AKA Helen in "Bad 1") is such a lovely lady and can't do enough to help. The lodge is perfect and the surroundings so tranquil. It's not very often you can sit in a hot tub sipping fizz in 70 degrees... More

Dear Ian and Tracy, First and foremost - thank you for creating our 100th review! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and that you took full advantage of the hot tub! The Carp fishing has traditionally been more challenging so we will certainly look into your suggestion of introducing more F1 and F2's. Myself and 'Lewis Hamilton' really... More

Read previous reviews and thought that it might not live up to the hype but it exceeded our expectations. The champagne and welcome hamper were a lovely touch. The lodge was well appointed, very peaceful and the surroundings were beautiful. Loved the hot tub! The internet was hit and miss but believe that they're working to improve this. There's lots... The thing with self catering holidays is that you're forever nipping out to the shops to get those little bits and pieces that you forget to bring with you. Badwell Ash Lodges owners have thought of everything, including bathrobes, fleeces and a welcome hamper. The lodges are lovely and well kept. Everything within the lodge is of a high spec.... More

Just had a lovely few days at Woodpecker Lodge (gets the sun in the morning until lunchtime on the deck). Having stayed in a few holiday lodges before I can say this one was the cleanest and most well presented I've seen. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch and meant that we didn't need to leave again until the... More

Fantastic place for a short break and wished we had longer. A lot has already been mentioned by others....even the loaf of bread in the hamper was of good quality and probably from local bakery. Three comprehensive files on the coffee table outlining nearby pubs/restaurants/ attractions/ instruction manuals for equipment in the lodge - very useful for planning excursions, meals... More
