Just had a lovely few days at Woodpecker Lodge (gets the sun in the morning until lunchtime on the deck). Having stayed in a few holiday lodges before I can say this one was the cleanest and most well presented I've seen. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch and meant that we didn't need to leave again until the... More

Fantastic place for a short break and wished we had longer. A lot has already been mentioned by others....even the loaf of bread in the hamper was of good quality and probably from local bakery. Three comprehensive files on the coffee table outlining nearby pubs/restaurants/ attractions/ instruction manuals for equipment in the lodge - very useful for planning excursions, meals... More

We've just left Badwell Ash after a wonderful week staying in Kingfisher lodge; a perfectly appointed and pristine lodge that was the ideal getaway from normal life. The service was outstanding and attention to detail particularly blew us away...everything we needed for a truly relaxing and luxury holiday was provided, down to playing cards, candles and chocolates on the pillows!... We booked three lodges for our family to use as Our son was getting married in the area. All of the lodges are of the same high standard with all you could wish for being provided including fleeces in case you get cold sitting outside taking in the views over the lakes. The welcome hamper had all you could need... More

This is the perfect place to get away from a hectic life and it is tempting to keep this find to ourselves as 'our' haven, but that would not be fair to Clare and Helen. As others have said the lodges are so well equipped and maintained to very high standards. A welcome hamper is left for you including a... More

My wife and our friends enjoyed a short stay at Badwell Ash in the Heron Lodge. We made good use of the hot tub and barbecue in-between trips to the local butcher and nearby villages. The facilities were excellent and we loved sitting on the veranda; enjoying the peace and quiet while soaking up the sunshine and feeding the wildlife.... More

Myself & my 3 sisters spent a 3 night stay. The Lodge & lake area where amazing! We could have spent the whole weekend on the veranda just soaking up the atmosphere. Instead we spent a few hours at Go Ape.....so we really deserved to spend the afternoon in the hottub!! Dinner in a local restaurant. The following day we... More
