The hotel was the ideal base on Ventotene for us (a brother and sister in our 20s and our mother). The triple room was quite basic but comfortable. The half-board option was very good value for money; dinner was delicious and the portions were generous. One evening's menu was entirely vegetarian and there was very good fish and seafood on... We stayed towards the end of September 2014. My luggage was lost for three days and Pier Filippo and his wife Adalgisa the owners of the family run Hotel could not have been more helpful, constantly ringing the airport and airline and even lending me clothes! So what could have been a stressful start to a holiday was smoothed away... More

The staff is gracious and helpful, providing a shuttle to/from the town center and recommendations for enjoying the island. The on-site restaurant offers a nice dinner and light breakfast, including gluten free options. Each room has a great view-specify if you would like a top floor with chairs on the balcony or a lower level with a cozy hammock. The... More

The rooms and such are good, but not great. The views and staff take this good hotel to a great hotel. They go out of there way to transport you to the city center whenever you want. They also were flexible with good options. Pretty much every room has a great terrace.

Put it simply, we loved the hotel and the island. Ventotene is very remote from Finland but worth of long travel. So peaceful, so beautiful, so extraordinary. Very much Italian. The hotel owner was very helpful and it was great to see how the whole family took care of the guests. We enjoyed lovely dinners, the scenery was superb and... More

In the middle of the island, the hotel offers a quiet stay in comfortable rooms with great view on the sea and the Santo Stefano island. The owners are nice though not too generous in giving tips on the island. The food is of very good quality, thanks to fresh products from the owners' field and to the art of... More

This is a place of dreams, nestled in the cliffs above Mare Tirenno just above the town of Ventotene on the island of the same name. Family-run by Pier Filippo, Adalgisa and their son Leonardo, it has an end-of-the-rainbow vibe. Many of the rooms are cut out of the cliffs with small terraces overlooking the sea and the sea gulls... More

I am not sure whether I am allowed to write a review of a hotel where I did not sleep, but I would like to share my - very positive - views with you. I had reserved a room in the hotel, but the ferry to Ventotene was cancelled. I called the owner and apologized and although it was 6... More

The Agave & Ginestra was the most relaxing, beautiful and magical hotel experience I ever had. The lush gardens, panoramic water views, amazing food and best of all.. private hammock were beyond description. The staff was so warm and welcoming, always available and ready to assist in any way. I will remain forever grateful to the owner Philipo, who devoted... More

Ten days in Paradise! I went diving every day, led by the frequent and efficient hotel shuttle-a jeep given the roads. The hotel is facing the sea and they are working to rebuild the direct access to the sea, which I hope they will be able to do soon. Top class service, outstanding food, free WiFi everywhere. Another thing that... More
