Top class hotel. Lots of very friendly and helpful staff. Large rooms. Everything in working order. Great pool area, spa, wellness and fitness rooms. Underground parking which is great in summer heat. Also an excellent slow food restaurant. Proximity to the famous wine bank is a plus. Easy to reach numerous castles, wine museums, vineyards etc. in Barolo area.

We had expected this hotel to offer something special due to its proximity to the Slow Food University, but we were very disappointed. The rooms are pleasant and the grounds are nice. The restaurant, however, is a real let-down. We were served a tasting menu of several courses that reminded us of food you might be served on an airplane.... More

Lovely old royal summer residence converted into comfortable and tasteful hotel. there is also a slow food oriented gastronomic university and a wine museum on site. The restaurant is well above average for hotel restaurants; we ate there two nights in a row, but there are other restaurants in the old historic village nearby. The rooms are spacious and nicely... We stayed in a beautiful room, felt like we were in a loft. Beautiful view, comfortable bed and the restaurant was to die for! The Slow Food concept was great, it felt like a nice way to eat and to live actually. I will definitely be looking into it more. I wish we had more time to spend there, and... More

I recently attended a conference at this site, and thought it was a wonderful, relaxing, beautiful venue. The Slow Food restaurant was great, and featured a spectacular panna cotta. Overall, a relaxing place in the countryside that helps you focus, whether on personal or business activities. Great place!!

We decided to go the truffle fair in Alba few weeks before it, so most hotels there were sold-out. Luckily we googled and found the Albergo dell'Agenzia Lodging - great option, about 20 minutes far from Alba, and away from the confusion there. Albergo was built in an old monastery and is also part of a gastronomic university. The rooms... More

Our travel coordinator stumbled across this unique hotel and we fully enjoyed our two nights with them. The 'campus' houses a school of gastronomy and the Banca del Vino, bank of wine, for the entire country. We were able to tour the wine bank, with a student guide, and enjoy a wine tasting of the local production. The staff is... More

The facility is amazing. The staff was professional, but not overly friendly. The wi-fi was just OK, with too many spotty locations in some second floor rooms. Considering its outstanding rating by other TA reviewers, it did not fully meet our expectations.

We stayed there because a couple friend of us was going to get married there. Excellent hotel, nice staff, good rooms but, for us, the very best of this hotel is the restaurant! The food and the wine are just amazing!!! It is a great opportunity the taste the flavours of Piemonte!!! We wouldn't expect anything else because this hotel... More

This is a very subjective review, tainted perhaps by our experiences elsewhere in Piedmont in hotels and albergos which were small, simple, but cosy. The hotel is on large grounds attached to the Culinary University. Unfortunately the Michelin restaurant formally in the grounds has moved up the road a few miles, and the one meal we had was OK, but... More
