Stayed here with 3 friends on a Leger battlefield tour in April. As others have said breakfast is chaotic best to get in early. We had ordered the optional meal package of 3 evening meals which were very good. There was a help yourself buffet of starters including soup. Then a choice of 3 main meals or for another 4... More

Stayed here in mid April for a week with my dad whilst on a leger battlefield tour. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly but it's a two star hotel and you get what you pay for. The room was fine but the hotel is very basic, it seems to be very understaffed with the person on reception... More

Stayed as part of a Leger battlefield tour and found my room which was ad ouble fine for single occupancy but very small as adouble. Clean hotel and friendly staff but when a second coach party arrived the breakfast / dining room was very crowded and they ran out of food. 20 euro taxi ride to Caen centre but a... More

We stayed here as part of a battlefield tour with Leger. We booked the extra for evening meals on the basis that it didn't matter if it wasn't great, we were there for the tour and not for the food. We were very pleasantly surprised with the hotel. The evening food was excellent and the breakfasts were more than sufficient.... More

We came across this hotel, after driving all day from the South. We were made very welcome by the Receptionist who kindly spoke to us in English. The room was comfortable with everything we needed complete with a kettle, biscuits and bottled water. There is a flat screen TV on the wall and as is normal in France all the... More

Our stay was part of a package so not chosen independently. That said, it was more than adequate. The rooms are old but were clean and reasonably comfortable. The TV did not appear to have any channels in English or with subtitles but as there is free wifi it was not a major problem. Breakfast was a buffet and apart... More

We have just got back from a "Battlefields Tour" of Normandy. We were expertly & fantastically looked after by the guys from Leger. Unfortunately the Hotel was a let down. The rooms are very dated, the food is not great but the beds are wonderfully comfortable. I ordered the ribs for my evening meal & they were quite inedible! gristly... More

Just returned from this hotel as part of the battle tour. The actual hotel is clean and tidy but the way it is run is terrible. Not enough staff to run all the stations, bar, reception etc so the staff are constantly running between them trying to keep people happy. The breakfast service is a nonsense. The food is ok... i stayed in the hotel on my way back from travelling through france in my campa van. I stayed overnight on the 6th September before i caught the ferry. The room was clean and staff friendly. I was woken at 3.45 by a man knocking loudly then banging so loud i thought the door was going to give way. He... More

Very well located hotel for the Battlefields tours, but a distance from main town, so taxi required. Very small rooms, but ok for somewhere to sleep and get ready after a long day touring the battlefields. Continental breakfast is very good. Small bar, but good little place to socialise with fellow tourers.

Dear customer, Thank you for your message left on this site. We are indeed a 10 minute drive from the heart of the city center of Caen and there is 20 minutes walking, is it better to take a taxi or the tram. We are happy that your stay it is well and hope to see you can be for... More
