My partner and I booked to stay at The Woolpack Inn for one night as we were visiting Longleat Safari Park. We decided to book a superior double room, which was only an extra £10 for the night and we were not dissapointed. The room was lovely, very spacious, huge shower, television and a very comfy bed. The room was... More

We have just retuned from a 2 night stay at the Woolpack. The inn is situated in the lovely village of Beckington. Okay, its quiet, but it is ideal if you want to get away from it all for a few days with the added bonus of some good scenic walks locally from the pub. The staff at the Woolpack... More

Just got back from a two night stay at this hotel. The location is about 11 miles from bath in a nice quiet village but a good base for bath. The local bus about £5.00 return runs every hour into bath and is a nice change from driving around looking for a parking slot. The hotel was nice with friendly... More

We stayed at this hotel for a weekend with friends, we had a great welcome from the staff. They could not do enough for us, however if you stay at this hotel avoid Rooms 9& 10 if you are more than 5' 2" tall. There is no way you can stand up in the shower and most of the room... More

Stayed at the Woolpack 15th & 16th February on a deal with Old English Inns in their 48 hour sale. On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly girl who checked us in very quickly. We wanted to watch a game of football and enquired about which pubs in the village had Sky Sports, another girl told us to... More

My wife and I arrived here on the afternoon of Friday 14th Feb, just as (yet another) wild storm came in off the Atlantic. The staff were all lovely and very helpful, and the room was excellent. The food was very good and we enjoyed a few drinks before retiring to our room. Unfortunately we were woken in the night... More

We upgraded to a superior room as the prices were so reasonable. The room was amazing (room 1) with comfy chairs, 2 seater sofa, double bed with floor to ceiling upholstered headboard and big stone fireplace. And the bathroom was equally stunning. A fab find for the price. Staff were friendly and we had our evening meal in the pub... More

I was looking for a decent hotel at a good price within reasonable travelling distance of Bath for a weekend break with my wife. I've stayed at Old English Inns hotels before and they have good discounts if you know where to look. So @ £130 for 2 nights, for 2 people in a "superior room", with buffet breakfast it... More

We have just spent 2 nights at the Woolpack. It is in a great location, ideal for vising Bath with excellent service. We had a warm welcome and booking in was informative.
