We spent 2 nights here early February and had a very enjoyable time. The staff were very attentive, nothing was too much for them. The food was very good, so good that we came home to Essex on the Thursday and went straight up to our local Old English Pub for a meal. The room was fine, warm, clean, but... More

I booked this hotel as a surprise for my fiancé and our two best friends who one of which is heavily pregnant. I have nothing to complain about the atmosphere or the food, but one thing which i am quite annoyed about is we were never told that the hotel was not manned overnight or the fact that we had... Well apart from waiting over half an hour for our meal with no apology! The waitress did not even apologise when I asked why it took so long. My wife asked the waitress how the sweet potatoes were done as they tasted quite nice at which point the waitress said she thought they tasted horrible! Do staff get training these... More

The restaurant area is very well lite, the menu is very good and well laid out. It's advisable to book for Friday or Saturday nights , this was our second attempt to get a table. The mixed grill is cooked to perfection, no burnt offerings here. It's a hearty meal. Service was quick efficient and very friendly. Will be returning.

My fiancée and I went here on a Saturday night and pre booked our table. Booking was easy and we sat in the bar area as the atmosphere was welcoming. The food was quick to arrive and the service was very friendly. The steak and the lamb shank were delicious and recommended! Friend of ours arrived after and we sat... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. We travel a lot for work, and stay in a lot of Premier Inns. They are ok - you know what you are getting, but the evening meal options are limited to whatever else is on the industrial estate around them - not usually very inspiring. I dont normally bother to review them because,... More

stayed just one night with a friend. The atmosphere in the bar was really cosy, and although food was served in the bar area it still felt like a proper pub. Staff were all really friendly and the room we stayed in was clean and comfortable, although it was very hot. Breakfast in the morning was really good and plenty... More

Good old English pub. Right in the heart of the country side we used this as base to go and see the Festival of Lights held at longleat this year! Was a really good display! Hotel was lovely friendly staff and out feature room was fantastic. Great beams in the room!!!

My husband and I stayed here for two nights last weekend. The hotel is in the middle of a pretty village near Bath. The room was very clean and comfortable with plenty of hot water and toiletries. The breakfast was excellent and all the staff were very friendly and attentive. Craig, the manager, was particularly helpful and he printed information... More

We used the hotel as a base for Longleat. Two nice rooms, clean and tidy. Food on first night not great, breakfast both days was lovely. Couldn't ask for more. Dinner second night much better, little one slept the whole evening, good job as live music could be heard in rooms, not told when booking that music would be on!!... More
