Me and my family stayed here in August 2014, and it was wonderful. Here's a quick summary of our stay: Good Points: • Excellent bar area • My sister and I slept in a sort of top-floor attic room with very comfy beds, fantastic old beamed ceiling, TV with Freeview and tea and coffee-making equipment • Excellent restaurant area, plenty... Just one night here visiting Stourhead, and recent reports are true. A very friendly staffed village pub serving good food, two mains for a tenner not bad, and breakfast menu more interesting than normal. Tales are true about the top bedrooms, only accept them if you are around 5 feet, otherwise take a hard hat! We were happy enough in... More

We visited this weekend, lovely welcome to the Inn. We had room 10, lovely room with lots of character, only issue was the beam across the shower area, other than that It was a fantastic room, clean, fluffy towels, nice big tv. Breakfast was perfect, wide variety of choice with cereals as well as hot food, croque madam was my... More

We decided to book a room at the woolpack, the night before my 30th Birthday. We chose the woolpack as it was close to Longleat Safari park. We arrived later in the evening than we had planned, the manager welcomed us, orientated us to the hotel, our room was beautiful- with ensuite bathroom. He then offered us dinner. We ordered... More

We had Sunday lunch at the Woolpack recently with some friends and had a very good meal. The food is good value for money, the service is excellent and they have a great selection of drinks on offer. The desserts are definitely worth trying; the only problem is choosing which one to have! I recommend a visit!

Four years after our first stay we decided to again spend a night in the Woolpack Inn. It was even better then the last time. Very nice rooms, spacious and an en suite with bath. We enjoyed a nice dinner with excellent wine (Three pebble bay white zinfandel). They offer a selection of cooked breakfast dishes combined with breakfast buffet... More

I went to the Woolpack for a Sunday lunch with my partner, there was a choice of roasts, I am vegetarian and my partner chose the chicken, food came out and tasted amazing, the staff were friendly, the place had a great feel about it, the whole bar, toilets and tables were very clean. Lovely room, comfy beds, nice bed linen, plenty of towels, helpful & friendly staff. Good with children. Lovely breakfast and the food in the restaurant too. About 10 minutes from Longleat safari park. Really good value for money. We will definitely return.

We happened along this place after leaving Stonehenge and heading towards Birmingham. Just looking for a nice pub with some good food and we found it here. We thought the staff was very nice and treated us well. Quaint little English pub. Sorry I can’t say anything about bedrooms as we did not stay.
