Our first B&B stay in England and it was so typically English with the Thatched room and dark oak beams. Exactly as we had seen on "Escape to the Country". Our welcome was a bit flustered as it was a week end and the tea room was doing a roaring trade with the cream teas. Our room was quite small... More

I hope I am not doing an injustice to this B&B, but I just found the welcome, the room, the facilities just very average. The bed was very small but comfortable enough - being positioned right next to a road didn't help the situation. What really got me was the very lackluster welcome we recieved upon checking in - but... More

This lovely, thatched building with its delightful rooms that are both clean and welcoming. The most amazing breakfast, once eaten there will be no need to eat again till evening -- all cooked fresh to your liking. The marmalade is a must.

We were looking for somewhere last minute & after searching for hours finally found this lovely little B&B on lastminute.com. The service was fantastic & the room housed me my partner & 4 year old comfortably. The breakfast was lovely & a great size. The house itself is beautifully kept in it's rural surroundings with a stunning garden perfect for... More

we were welcomed & shown to our room (enjoying the unevenness of the floors & walls!) lovely large room & comfy bed.Breakfast was superb with "quality ingredients". We could choose exactly what we wanted & it was all freshly cooked.Except for a small problem with the shower - everything was excellent . Well done "uncle Ken" !!

A group of us stayed here while completing Rock Solid at Escot park - and its location makes it perfect for that. The building is a true old English country cottage with tiny doors, wonky walls and floors and crooked beams. Its completely full of character. We had an en-suite room which was a little noisy when you used the... More

On arrival we were welcomed and shown to our room. The room was furnished in a cottage style and beautifully clean. We had an en-suite room. The shower was also very clean. The bed was comfy and my husband and I slept well. There were also two comfy chairs and a modern television. We also had tea and coffee making... More

Beautiful old cob building with old world charm. The host made my wife, pooch and I welcome and we went to our room. Watch out for the lime wash on the walls! Low ceilings and beams make this a really authentic Devon place to stay Room was clean if a little tired but perfectly good for the purpose and the breakfast... More

Whilst the room was fine, full of character and quite comfortable, on my visit the one thing missing was the friendly welcome which seems to be implied by all the previous reviews. I'm not sure why I missed out, but as a single traveller I've experienced so much more welcoming hospitality in guest houses around the UK and abroad. The... More
