If you're going to Panama, go to Santa Catalina and stay here. The family are so nice and the food is great. Such a relaxing place to be. Went for a few days and stayed nearly a month. Great place to go surfing.

At first look the hostel looks a little shabby, but as soon as you look more in detail the hostel is decorated with lovely ideas mingled together. The family owned hostel (french and panamanians) welcomes you, and the price for sleeping in a dorm is really low ($ 6 included breakfast). Surf rental is possible and the beach is reachable... More

I was traveling in my own vehicle from Florida to Argentina. Crossed all of the Central American countries before entering into South America.
