If you are a single, surfer dude, in your 20's and you are looking to throw back some cold ones with some of your bros...then this is the place for you. In fairness to the hotel, it was the best one in Santa Catalina. This town, however, is VERY remote...and not in a "good" way. The town has no grocery... More

Thank you for your review. While I agree with this customer in that Santa Catalina is somewhat remote, I would like to clarify that there are in fact 2 small grocery stores in the village, and there are several charming little restaurants in Santa Catalina that offer fantastic food, however, they are all rustic yet unique little places that are... Santa Catalina is worth the trip! The hotel was perfect for a family of 4. The staff was very helpful and kind! They have a room of surfboards, SUPs, boogie boards, and bikes available for guests to use. We will be back!

This is probably the best place to stay in Santa Catalina. Clean, peaceful, nice people, good and complete service. The rooms are great, with AC and hot water, lockers in the room and wifi. There is not a lot of infrastructure in Santa Catalina, so considering that, this place is very very good. I recommend it for families or couples.

Great experience. Staff was very courteous and professional. Room as clean and comfortable. The property was beautiful. Santa Catalina is quaint, friendly, relaxing and fun. The towns' people are very open, helpful and welcoming. We commissioned a fisherman to take us to some nearby islands for the day. Perhaps one of the best days of my life enjoying seclusion and... Hotel Santa Catalina was my first choice of places to stay in Santa Catalina. However, due to a problem with AirBnB, I was not able to book the 2 nights we needed. The rooms were actually available, but by the time I became aware of this I had already booked with Cabanas Sherlley next door. So it may have been... More

We spent 2 nights in the quaint little village of Santa Catalina last month. We found the hotel to be clean, modern and located up the hill, making for a nice quiet visit. They helped us set up a fishing trip with Capt Richard and changed out our suicide shower upon arrival (we had been without hot water in the... More

Our original hostel had messed up our reservations & had no space available that night. The gal recommended the hotel next door. We walked over & caught one of the managers working outside. He spoke only Spanish but was very helpful & patient as we worked through our intermediate Spanish. He charged us $75US for 3 people & gave us... More

I got very positively surprised with the quality of the accommodations, the cozy porches, the view from the beach, the tasty breakfast! The owner is a very nice guy and the way he manages the hotel makes you feel like home! He doesn't charge you for using the kayaks and offers bikes to guests hang around the village! It's the... My husband and I visited for our honeymoon and were not disappointed! We stayed for 1 week, and wish we'd had more time. Given the rural and remote feeling of the village of Santa Catalina, the rooms are surprisingly spacious, clean, and accommodating. We loved the hammocks, table and chairs out front (perfect for outdoor breakfast dining). We were there... More
