Stayed in the Hunting Lodge hotel with my partner. Could not fault anything about it. Owner was very pleasant and attentive. Food was excellent, probably one of the best meals we have had in a long time.

went here this evening with family expecting to get some rustic country food - instead what we got could only be described as "brock". The chilli prawn linguine dish - the prawns were not fresh & were a crimson colour, quite obviously had been cooked before and reheated. Had a lovely few days at the Hunting Lodge last week, bit tricky to find but the phone sat nav did the trick and we were so pleased with the location- it is surrounded by green fields and forests and the only sounds are the wildlife nearby.
