I came here last week for a meal and an overnight stay. The food was second to none and the staff couldn't do enough for me. My room was clean and very modern with large bath! I will definitely recommend and will be back soon. Jack Murphy

Visited here with family for Sunday lunch. Choice of starter, mains and desserts. I wasn't overly impressed with the prawn salad - there was alot of it, but lacked any favor. The mains looked dreadful, lamb was very fatty, veg poorly chopped and half cooked. The gravy tasted strong, thick and disgusting. Dessert was a crumble, custard tasted awful. Portions... More

We booked afternoon tea at this hotel for my mother's 80th birthday. Unfortunately 4 people were unable to attend but we were still charged the full price as we were told the food had to be pre-prepared. For 14 adults there was just 2 trays of sandwiches and 2 small stands with miniature cakes, tea and coffee. We asked 3... More

Attending afternoon for my grandmothers birthday and she left her flowers behind. I called to ask if they were still there, and asked if they be put to one side so I could collect them. The manager was completely rude an told me he was too busy to look for them but he was sure they wouldn't have been 'ditched'... More

Poor service, untrained staff, arrogant and rude manager as well as poor stale food and to top it all off overcharged on the bill Avoid at all costs! The manager should not be working in a customer focused environment as he has little or no people skills

We are a party of 14 adults an 3 children (5 years, 1 1/2 years and 5 months) attending a pre-booked 80th birthday celebration for afternoon tea. How very disappointed we have all been with the whole experience. 3 extra people was included on the original booking but unfortunately was unable to attend. We was told that we would still... More

I was only in this hotel for 10 hours, but it is difficult to know where to start... Surly service on arrival, complete with warning that "the water's off!" - it was, until waking the following morning. Room lit like a stadium with loose bathroom fittings and cracked mirror in main room. No curtains, just flimsy blind - you wake... More

I spent one night here away on business (again). Rooms are quite well appointed and the bed are clearly very good quality, and I had a goods night sleep accordingly. There's plenty of car parking, and a good bar and restaurant. My colleague and I had a meal in the restaurant, bot meals were excellent, very tasty, well presented and... More

What a bad start to a hotel in such a lovely location.Once in our... More
