Had a lovely meal at The Pembroke Arms last night. The menu was extensive and the food was excellent. There were around a dozen vegetarian dishes to choose from, why can't more restaurants provide this level of choice. The staff were all helpful and friendly and the bar serves Thatchers Gold cider - what more could anyone ask for!

We were looking for somewhere to stay as we were visiting Longleat Safari Park and booked our two night stay at The Pembroke Arms, after reading the reviews on tripadvisor and it did not disappoint! Booking was easy and all necessary paperwork was emailed directly. It was approximately a half an hour drive from the park which made travelling there... More

Stayed in room two with my two children aged ten and four months. Room was a nice size with everything we needed and plenty of space for a family of your. Breakfast was a delight, plenty of choice and dinner met expectations. Only downside was the noise of traffic late at night but the welcoming atmosphere and quality more than... More

We popped in for a weekday family birthday meal in the restaurant. The menu is interesting; good breadth of choices and we enjoyed our dinner very much. The public rooms are charming, well furnished and nicely decorated. We had professional, courteous and warm service from our waitress (mature lady), but a younger waitress/barmaid was in a rush to get back... More

As it was my husband's 60th birthday in July ( on a saturday) I wanted to book a Lunch for some members of the family, including his mother who has mobility issues. My first problem was finding an establishment who served lunch and who could cater for my husband's and one other family members vegetarian needs- many hotels do not... More

Nice place, newly renovated and has air condition which was great as it was very hot when I was there. Room and bathroom a good size and there was excellent free wifi. Staff and owner are very nice and friendly. It was so good we tried to extend our stay but unfortunately it was fully booked.

A really nice, stylish hotel and restaurant. We booked last minute and got the only room left which was a very bijou small double. It would have made a great room for one person ideally. Anyway we only stayed one night so it was fine. The room was beautifully decorated with many thoughtful touches. Fresh milk in a flask -... More

We stayed overnight in this attractive old hotel whilst traveling to Bestival with our three young kids. The hotel seems to have been taken over a staff composed exclusively of highly quaffed but obviously disinterested Generation Y2Kers who were more interested in chatting with their mates at the bar then sorting out our room on time, clearing tables or giving... Elaine and I stayed for one midweek night on our way down to Cornwall. A very attractive old building with a period-feel interior and a spacious restaurant offering a very good value and wide choice evening menu. Cooked to order breakfast was outstanding. Staff very helpful and friendly. We stayed in the Queen's room - large, comfortable bed. Plenty of... More
