We booked in advance taking advantage of the winter dinner bed and breakfast offer, we had hoped for room 8 but couldn't book this as this room had a two night stay minimum on the website. Checking in we were thrilled to be given the keys to room 8 "The King's Bedroom." This room is wonderful, the bed large and... More

Visited with family, Mike and Rhiain, for an evening meal. Lovely ambiance to bar, olde world charm, and similar in the adjacent dining room. Log fire burning, nicely warm. Food and wine selection good, food was well presented and of good quality. Service attentive and friendly. Prices reasonable, and in fact drinks were cheaper than the Premier Inn the night... More

After a long drive the sight of a welcoming woodburner friendly staff and a beautifully decorated country style hotel was just what I needed. I had booked the night before and was very surprised that I had been upgraded. The room was beautiful spacious lovely comfy bed, a sound dock which to me was the highlight ! Proper coffee with... A smallish hotel in Wilton, the historic old county town (well really a village) of Wiltshire, a mile or two outside Salisbury. From the moment you come through the door and get the first whiff of woodsmoke it never fails to delight. Run and staffed by a lovely group of people who seem to have been together for years. Super... More

We had a fantastic stay here on the dinner, bed, and breakfast deal. The included dinner is extremely generous, 3 courses from the menu without any restrictions and breakfast was equally as generous. The vegetarian selection was fantastic and the dishes I had were all delicious! We stayed in the Orangery room which is small but beautifully decorated. We did... More

From the time that we arrived until the time we left, we were made to feel welcome by the attentive and hard working owners and staff. Despite the very cold weather outside, the ambience inside the building was warm and welcoming. The room was spacious, and there was generous provision of bathroom accessories etc. The food was outstanding, and excellent... More

A work colleague advised me to book this for an anniversary dinner. Based on trip advisor reviews we did, and were not disappointed. Parking is easy, there is an enormous wood burner in the bar area and the ale is great. The staff are welcoming, friendly and funny and the décor is what you would expect from an old property.... We only had one night DB&B here, in a large double. Our room was tastefully furnished with 'shabby chic' furniture and the bed seemed huge and very comfortable. Tea, water, coffee with percolator, hot chocolate and biscuits were provided in our room which was lovely. The hotel was warm and cosy with a fire in the bar and a nice... More

My wife and I stayed here for a birthday party in November 2014. We had the 'small double' and were very happy with our stay. It was small - as advertised - but fine of a couple of nights. The hotel is recently refurbished and has been redecorated really well. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever... More

We stayed for 3 nights and it was perfect throughout. The entire premises are tastefully decorated and immaculately clean, booked a standard double room which was exceptionally comfortable. Service is attentive without being obtrusive. Evening meals were well executed and well presented with good ingredients, which also goes for breakfast - a good choice of cereals, fruit etc, but the... More
