Absolutely excellent hotel. Not at all formal and very relaxing. The bedroom we had 'the four poster',was really comfortable and cosy. The food was excellent and the staff attentive without being intrusive. If you fancy a weekend break in a superb tranquil setting then this hotel should be top of your list The only downside - having to leave! More

A really wonderful Valentine's taster menu - just as it should be. Small portions of superbly presented food, ambitious without being daft, full of interesting flavours. Howard's House is set in a perfect village in the midst of the Wiltshire countryside. The welcome is friendly and one is made to feel like a guest should. For a town of its size, Salisbury is almost wholly deficient in good restaurants. Howards House, 20 minutes drive away at Teffont Evias is like an oasis. We lunched there yesterday. Very nice ambience, excellent food and intimate service. This is a traditional restaurant that believes in proper tablecloths and serviettes. Thoroughly to be recommended More
