We had a lovely week in The Old Stables and found it to be very comfortable. The owners were very friendly and helpful and it was very welcoming to find fresh flowers and cake on our arrival after a long drive. The accommodation was spacious and perfectly located on the outskirts of Salisbury. The surroundings were very peaceful and we... More

Much space in the house, beautiful landscape, comftable beds, place to sit outside - we enjoyed it very much You can even walk within 25 minutes to the cathedral along the river and meadows. Charcteristic old farm with thatched rouf.

We had a lovely stay at Old Stables in June this year. We reached late at night after a long drive and we had a yummy cake waiting for us inside! It was a beautiful cottage and very well kept. Our 2-year old loved running around in the back garden. We would love to stay here again. Thank you Alison... More

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. We are absolutely delighted that you all enjoyed your stay at The Old Stables. The huge gardens are ideal, as you say, ideal for letting off steam, or just relaxing in whether you are two, twenty two or seventy two....sun screen when it's hot, wellies when it's not! We look... The cottage is situated in a courtyard amongst lovely farm buildings, which includes a handy small cheese/cake/tea shop. The location is such that it's only a 10 minute drive into town or a half hour walk down quiet footpath and lanes. We received a warm welcome with a home-made cake. The cottage is well and thoughtfully equipped, clean and comfortable. For 4... More

We stayed at The Old Stables recently and it was quite fantastic! Located close enough to walk into Salisbury to enjoy all that has to offer, complimented by the local setting of Britford, which is beautiful and "quint essentially" English. The owners greeted us with an exceptionally warm welcome and were on hand throughout our stay to offer any kind... More

Have stayed here both with family and with work and on each occasion it has been perfect. The accommodation has everything you need and more, is very clean and the owners are very friendly and helpful - and thoughtful (flowers and a cake ready for us on arrival!). The Stables are on the outskirts of Salisbury, so walking distance from... More

This holiday cottage is spacious and located at a quiet spot at walking distance of Salisbury city center. Facilities are good and the barn includes a small garden. However, the Old Stable was not as clean as we would have liked it to be. Toilets and showers were quite dirty (I wonder if they had been cleaned after use by... More

Am so sorry about this...I just cant explain what has happened. We have such a strict cleaning schedule that it would be impossible to miss both bathrooms and the kitchen. The only possible explanation is that it would have been a day with a very busy changeover and that maybe one of our cottages got missed out completely. Again, we... More

we stayed 4 nights at the Old Stables near Salisbury, and were very pleased with the cleanliness of the house, its very spacious and cosy feel, and how helpful the owners were. Despite not having a bath-tub, the place is very child-friendly (owner supplied a baby-bath on request, and with the hot weather, a ventiator). We could leave the back... More

This place is a hidden gem. It is so spacious. When we got in late, there were roses and a cake waiting for us. The little shop was adorable. Would definitely stay again.
