The location of this B&B is superb with views across the bay to Nelson. The breakfasts are definitely gourmet and impossible to finish - you could have 5 courses if you wanted! The collections of gemstones and paintings (mostly of the English Lake District) Sheila and Bill have amassed are superb. The only thing that lets it down is that... More

Sheila looked after us like a long lost relative. She made sure we had everything we could possibly want i.e. she provided us with caps and daypacks that we had forgotten. We were also supplied with juice, water and cookies in the room. When we returned at the end of the day, she had tea/coffee and cake ready for us... More

We stayed at Pine Lodge for 3 trips in early Jan 2012. Sheila and Bill were both extremely pleasant, helpful and kind hosts. We really couldn't have asked for more. The bedrooms were lovely, the beds were very comfortable and the whole house was just beautiful. Breakfast on the decking with an amazing, amazing view. Homemade jams and bread equal... More

We we're welcomed by Sheila and Bill with a cup of coffee and some home-made cake. And this was only the beginning of their hospitality! The B&B... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and were made so welcome, and looked after so well, that we wished we could have stayed longer. The house is beautifully appointed and the views, particularly from the guest lounge and patio, are stunning. We had a suite of rooms (bedroom, lounge and spacious bathroom) at the rear which, while not having a... More

My husband and I stayed at Pine Lodge in mid-April, 2009 while on a three week vacation to New Zealand. Pine Lodge is an outstanding bed and breakfast. The house is in a beautiful setting on a hillside above the Tasman Sea and is spacious and beautifully decorated with antiques. Shelia and Bob are wonderful hosts. Shelia greeted us each... More
