We stayed at Anthea & Brian's B&B last february. We were on our honeymoon so almost every B&B we stayed at was pretty nice, but the Bellbird Lodge still managed to be the best one of them!! And why was that? Was it the really nice room with its private living room, the awesome breakfast on the terrace with an... More

Many days ago we visited New Zealand, we stayed in many good B+b, but the Bellbird Lodge was the best. We have vey good memories, Anthea and Brian take very good care of their guests. They pay attention to all the details. We thoroughly recomend it. Francesco, Ana and Marian Barcelona

Bellbird Lodge was the highlight of our trip to the Nelson area. Anthea and Brian are lovely friendly people. Anthea helped organise trip details that I was unsure about and booked us in to restaurants. A great help when you don't know the area at all. The Lodge is a beautiful place - breakfast outside in the morning sunshine and... More

The best accommodation decision I made during my three week stay in New Zealand was my four nights at the Bellbird Lodge. It was the perfect place to rest each day after walking the Abel Tasman Track. In the morning I had the most sumptuous breakfast buffet on the verandah overlooking the water. In the afternoon nibbles with great conversation... More

Bellbirde Lodge was the best one on our trip through NZ. The hosts Anthea and Brain are very polite, carefull, helpfull, (planning our daily tours). The breakfast buffet looks more like a 5 star hotel. We were feelling part of this nice Bellbird family. The terrace and the garden is a real paradise. When we came back from our tousr,... More

A true home from home, well better than home actually! Fabulous accommodation with stunning gardens and views. Home cooked food and plenty of it, even down to the picnic lunch to take on our trip to Abel Tasman which was just lovely. Anthea and Brian are very friendly and know their patch so can help you make the most of... More

Our stay with Brian and Anthea was really lovely (we had never stayed at a B & B before, so were unsure what to expect). I quite often think of the evenings we spent with the other guests and our hosts over drinks and nibbles. They provided a very welcoming environment and lots of amusing stories. Of course, we cannot... More

We stayed at the lodge for two nights in January, foolishly not heeding our hosts' advice of a minimum 3 night stay. By the time we wanted to extend our stay, it was booked. The lodge has only two lovely rooms, which means that you are treated as almost family by Brian and Anthea. When we went for a day... More

I can't say enough about how wonderful our stay was at the Bellbird Lodge. Everything you could want and more awaits you there. I echo the other reviewer's comments about the delicious breakfasts, snacks, treats and attention to detail. Anthea and Brian are the consummate hosts, helpful, warm and charming. It truly felt like we were staying with close friends.
