One of the best place we staid in during our 3 weeks NZ trip. Super nice and well equipped studio, with an awesome ocean view. Sauna and barbecue area. Five walking minutes from the beach. Efficient and very nice hosts.

What a great find, our motel unit has everything in it, absolutely spotless and Christine thank you for all the great info on what to do and see and where to eat, you were spot on. The location is beautiful and very easy to get around.

We wanted/needed a small break away and this was perfect for us. The room was very clean and warm, the kitchen was a great size but the real bonus for us was use of the enclosed spa which we could book up to an hour free. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely recommend this motel to friends and... More

We hadn't booked accommodation, and we were lucky to get the last available unit at this well located motel. We ate fish and chips down at the waterfront, but if you wanted to, you could have self-catered in this well resourced unit. Comfortable, clean and a short walk to the beach.

This was the first port of call on the South Island having crossed the Cook Strait earlier in the day. I was travelling in an organised (motorcyle) tour goup and the welcome we received here was fantastic and set the tone for the remainder of our trip. The owners made their double garage available so that as many bikes as... More

This motel is set back a few feet from a beautiful sandy beach. This is a fabulous base while visiting the Abel Tasman National Park. The welcome from the owner was very good. and made you feel at home straight away. Our first and lasting opinion was that this is a first class place. The motel is in exceptional good... More

We just came back from holiday in New Zealand. Our highlight of our 2 weeks holiday was Abel Tasman, and staying at Torlesse Motel has contribute great deal of it! I'm not going to repeat other reviews of how great location and service are. I would say that quality of this motel is as good as a 5 star hotel... More

A very special place to visit....Our washing machines are very well received by most of our travellers but even more so, the views and 'The Beach' maybe we will see you back here one day. New Zealand accommodations never match my expectations based on their labels. I've been to "lodges" that are actually B&Bs and "lodges" that are actually motels. This "motel" is actually much nicer than a motel; it's like a set of timeshare condos. So a very pleasant surprise when we arrived for the last few days of December. Large & clean suites,... More

We have stayed at the Torlesse motels most years for the last decade and keep coming back because of the location. With a 2 minute walk down to a wonderful beach at Little Kaiteriteri and lots to do within an hour or so by car in any direction - vineyards, seaside, Able Tasman National Park, Farewell Spit and so on.... Brilliant location, about a 15 min walk to kaiteriteri, and only a few minutes walk to little kaiteriteri. The cabins are all neat and tidy, and there's a good feel about the accomodation. Highly recommend!
