We have just returned from a week in Pitea staying in the Skoogs City Hotel. What a fab place!! For a town centre hotel it was extremely quiet, the room was spotless and very comfortable, we overlooked the town pedestrian area and the tree outside was decorated for Christmas which made the place seem quite magical. The breakfast was help yourself buffet style with ample choice including gravalax, herring, cereal, cold meats, cheese and a waffle maker at the weekend. All the staff were extremely polite, cheery and very helpful. They have a sauna and Jacuzzi on the 3rd floor which was wonderful (and very clean) it is completely glazed, so you sit in the sauna with a grandstand (thankfully one-way) view of the town! Room was made every day, promptly and efficiently. Hot drinks, with biscuits are available all day and they don't mind you taking them to your room.
